  1. Our biggest problem all year imo has been a lack of stability in our backline. We need to our premiership backline together and fit. Once Salem Petty Lever May are back playing together each week and are fit /in form we will look like a different team
  2. might be technically but it doesn't get paid unless you tackle or swing the bloke around with intent. if you stand next to the guy and gently hold his jumper you'll never get a free
  3. People writing off Tomlinson and Hunt after a bad game, take a minute. Please don't play Tommo on the wing or fwd, his only position is in the backline. Read the posts from round 7 last year if you don't think he can play back. Was seen as a big issue losing him for the year. Not saying he is amazing but in a functioning backline he is a good backman Hunt for me is up and down. But over the past 4-5 weeks he has proven he can play and sacrifice his attacking game to lockdown. Let's not make too many changes if we can help it. I'm predicting 2 changes max
  4. Holding the jumper without tackling while the player stands easily? not HTB
  5. Freo appealing for HTB against Bailey while he spins around and kicks a goal lol grabbing the jumper isn't a tackle
  6. I hear you, I told my boss my recent poor performance at work was due to 'loading' and he would soon see the benefits. Suffice to say I am now being performance managed
  7. good point. It would be interesting to see how Gawn would go playing 80% fwd even. he is so dominant in the air
  8. Alright, I thought what I said was reasonable, but I'll keep my opinions and ideas for the future to myself from now I have sat behind the cheer squad probably 100+ times so I feel I would have listened over the years
  9. Good to see the Tigers and Dogs outside the 8
  10. I agree and I think the club should try some new initiatives in getting more people involved and trying to create a better atmosphere at games. Obviously every fan could/should cheer the team but the cheer squad can set an example - as they do - but I think it could be improved. The one chant we have is not great for a club with 150 years of history. Not having a go at the cheer squad, they do a great job, just think we should look into ways to improve across the board.
  11. No doubt we are not giving our fwds much silver service but at 200cm I would have thought Brown could influence contests from our long bombs. He’s been poor for 3 straight weeks and as our primary fwd, he needs to pull the finger out
  12. Brown didn’t get to enough contests and didn’t bring the ball to ground enough. Not many one on ones but he needs to deal with this
  13. My biggest concern is the health of our list T Mac done for the year Petty isn’t right Lever doesn’t look right, due to lack of preseason or just form? Salem missed half a year Petracca hasn’t looked right for a month we haven’t had a settled backline all year and this is critical to consistent footy
  14. DubDee replied to rpfc's topic in Melbourne Demons
People underestimate the influence a loud supportive crowd can have on the team and result. It can lift the team and influence the umpires. The loud Swans fans played a part in that win last night
  15. 23 contested possessions! 6 contested marks 3 goals just a remarkable player
  16. Feels like a Swans home game any chance of our fans turning up??
  17. Hey guys!! Got some inside goss hearing T Mac might be late out for Brown cant reveal sauce!
  18. Matty Rowell is only 20yo still! Feels like a he’s been around years. Hope he can get his mojo back and stay fit
  19. For anyone watching - are Weeds marking and goals impressive or easy goals/free kicks?
  20. Bored so off to the pub for pre pre drinks let me know how the game goes
  21. Only if his birthday is on a leap year!
  22. Betting on the Swans?? Their form is 3-3. Lost to the Suns at home and went very close to losing to North. They are not the same team as last year and Buddy is out. We will smash them on the inside. With Kennedy done, Parker has to do most of the heavy lifting at the coalface
  23. Don’t wanna go all Mike Larkin on you but it’s 0-2mm predicted and mostly outer east so we’ll hopefully be right
  24. Had money on the Cats to win (punt with head) but was still cheering the dogs I really do hate the Cats
  25. Pumped for this game. Viney to set the tone early with some crunching tackles Swans will tag Langdon and Clarry will dominate with 40 Demons by 18pts
