Farewell Jesse Hogan
They're using the current government with it's conga line of temporary 'leaders' as an example.

Probably a bit high brow for the Demon hoi polloi. ( Proust is boring anyhow. As boring as Gerald Murnane.)

SHH. Fritsch is our secret weapon. And, please, VDB is Dutch. Call a Dutchman German at your own peril. I made the mistake when I was 15 and got a lecture about the bombing of Rotterdam. I had to point out to the demented Dutchman that I was born in 1950 and had nothing to do with it.

All for this. The Demons looked awesome when the Germans ruled: Schwartz and Neitz. We now have Weidemann and Preuss. Watch us fly.

Personally, I believe May's girth is evidence he's a spud muncher, to say the very least.

Farewell Dom Tyson
An ex Norf player when Barassi was de Bwana rang me this morning and said, Oh, shite, we're getting Tyson. We spoke about him earlier in the season. He said, Tyson is useless: he keeps turning the ball over. And it takes him forever to make a decision about which opposition player is going to hurt Melbourne the most...

A very unfortunate state of affairs. Imagine his hygiene plight after going to the loo.

Just measure that against some of the names I've mentioned. Not many have rose and shined, as they say.

I've become wary of importing fringe players from other clubs, the likes of Bugg, Mitchie, Newton, Sellars, the 2 Geelong duds Neeld served up, Rodan, dare I say it, Tyson. When I think back not many of our imports have fired a shot. Vince was an exception, Lewis and Cross, come to mind, Bizzel was fantastic, Vardy was great but mostly injured - he was like Clark from Essendon in the early 90's, like Owen, played some great games until injury struck em - I don't want to revisit the Clarke, Heratier catastrophes, and the list of dudes who have simply not either not fired a shot but were content to coast - the mighty Byron - Heffenan etc etc Then there was Dawes who busted his heart but battled injuries and an inability to hold a mark. My policy is go for a gun. If the gun doesn't fire, well that's bad luck Templeton comes to mind, Oi Weh, come to think of it... But then again, there was Wilson, Moore, Laurie Fowler, Icke, Rohde. Ah, memories....

Farewell Jesse Hogan
The question for me remains: here's Hogan who came to the Demons when it was a basket case. They are now poised to be s strong side. Fremantle are not far from being a basket case whose coach has recently shown all the symptoms of a born loser. Why would you want to go back to playing for a basket case instead of a team you've helped to build up, which is on the brink of reaping what's been sown? I guess the answer, if he went, would be money. Sad really.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
All this talk is total madness. Hogan is essential to our next few years. Why all this bulldust speculation? Why///

Thanks Cameron Pedersen
I loved the dedication he showed to the Demons and Casey. He played some sterling footy in 2017 - and 2016 - and I felt for him when he was thrown into the deep end this year. All the best to him.
