I'm torn about tonight's game folks. In my original plan for today, at game time I'd pencilled in 30 minutes of whacking myself about the head with a teapot. Can I still do that and watch the game as well ?? Will watching the dees improve my mental state or tip me over the edge ?? I'm at the crossroads. One path leads to utter disappointment the other to total annihilation. Which one do I choose ?? I'd appreciate some suggestions from demonlanders with psychiatric experience please ( as a doctor, not as a patient)

I notice that Bell has been omitted from the Sydney side today. Is that the end of Bell ???? Bell...end ????

I don't think English will play based on the TV report tonight. That doesn't necessarily make our chances any better. We still have to contain that former Marcellin College star Bontempelli somehow. Marcellin has certainly turned out some damn good players in the last 10 years

Okay, I might have totally misread this but my impression was that in the first half today, Viney wasn't in at the coalface at the stoppages. Was he keeping out of the way and leaving it to Oliver and Brayshaw? If this was intentional, it worked. As the game wore on, I noticed him getting more involved and he was pretty fierce and effective in his role. It has been suggested by the pundits here that Brayshaw and Viney in at the same stoppages doesn't work out so well. Seems like the Football Department is listening to d'landers !!

I'm prepared to put Maxy back in the team but not as captain. Our rotating captains the last two weeks have got a perfect record. Frankly I want Max to have another week off. We need him fresh for the finals !!!! Harmes is on thin ice. He probably did a lot of defensive stuff tonight that we didn't appreciate though. Some of his muck ups were tough to watch.

What I like about Lockhart is he's cool in a crisis. Oh and he has a red hot go. Compliments that backline well. Uncle Nev is gonna have to do something special to get back into this team.

Oscar should come in and if Tomlinson can make some sort of contest in the ruck that will be a good outcome. Oscar's defence is heart in mouth stuff. He a lot more reliable conveyance this year. Think you've nailed it AF.

As long as he listens to us this time !!! Demonland is full of experts who are rarely wrong. I would say rest Max. Grundy is going on half rat power and will probably miss too. I will back our mids in their current form to overcome the Collingwood mids regardless of whether Gawn or Grundy play.

I think It's reasonable to put Maxy back in at the expense of T Mac. I believe Jackson will be rested (as good as he was last night). We can all see what the future holds if Jackson keeps going on his current trajectory. He's a young guy with a ton of 'toe'. He obviously loves to play and might comfortably cope with the load but I hope he get's that break this week. Harmes was a little unsighted but he will be given some sort of tagging role against the Pies so should be safe.

We can demote Maxy from the captaincy for sure !! Give it to Melksham. He's got a 100% win strike rate as captain !!!

It didn't do them any good in terms of draft order for us to go up the ladder. They wanted to win alright. They had no proper way to score goals and their second tier players are not up to it.

The AFL reeks of hypocrisy and double standards. One rule for one group, one rule for the other. Gee whizz, don't the AFL look tough now !! That tackle was a bad look and no good for the Adelaide lad. It needed to be penalised but I simply wonder why Burgoyne's sling tackles got the 'all clear ' from the AFL and the MRP. We all know Burgoyne's a legend an an ornament to the game. What that really means is, he can do whatever he likes and the seriousness of his actions will be downplayed to such an extent that he will be totally absolved of any blame or he'll get whacked with a wet lettuce leaf as punishment. The AFL is a disgusting and corrupt organisation. Nothing more, nothing less.

The umpires have to be taking the [censored]. Yet the Adelaide fans have still got the effrontery to complain about umpiring. Almost all the high contact frees to Adelaide have resulted from ducking the head. Umpiring standards are a blight on the game

Them and McGuire bleating about sling tackle she and how the AFL is cracking down on them and they have to protect the players and stamp out cheap shots. RUBBISH !!!! If they cared about sling tackles they would have suspended Burgoyne for one of those two he dished out in consecutive weeks but of course they didn't. He's an icon of the game ! Don't really agree with this Diamond J. There are probably 3 teams which are clearly better than us but we are markedly more competitive than last year. Cooler heads at the death and we win that game. What we didn't cope with was the pressure every Brisbane player applied to the Melbourne ball carrier as if their lives depended on it. Those brissie players are big boys too. That surprised me a bit. Weid will turn the corner this year I agree. More consistency and self belief will see him blossom.
