  1. If this is what the Richmond seniors are putting up, I'd hate to think what their seconds are doing! Maybe Richmond should cut their losses and switch the teams, so they can at least win a couple of VFL games this year.
  2. But Deledio said they have a list which can win a premiership! Makes Viney's talk about finals seem pretty conservative, really.
  3. 5 seconds remaining in the third quarter with Port's midfield streaming forward, and Toumpas takes possession running out of the centre. He has a clear opportunity to put boot to ball and slam it so far forward the Tigers can't score before 3QT. So he handballs backwards instead.
  4. Think both Essendon and today proved that just because we're playing a team without a backline doesn't guarantee us a win. Yeah, Gold Coast look like garbage but so did the Saints last week.
  5. Don't worry, we're the #1 team in the league for getting out of form teams back into form, we'll get the bath at Metricon.
  6. Gold Coast are rubbish. There is no chance they'll make the 8, even we have more chance than they do. Unfortunately that makes us the wildcard, because really there's a clear 8 teams who are above us and we need something drastic to happen for us to join that group.
  7. Speaking of Gold Coast, Geelong are unsurprisingly, proverbially [censored] on them from a great height. Who the hell starts favourites next week? I'll be devastated if it's us, because it's a certain loss.
  8. Yep, can't wait to see the next evolution of our defensive zones in action. T-Mac could end up matched on Malceski!
  9. If I owned a demolition business I would demolish that [censored] shithole of a stadium tonight.
  10. I don't really want Trengove making his return to AFL footy that soon, nor at bloody Metricon of all places! He will run out on the 'G at some point before the bye, nothing surer. Unless he has an absolute belter tomorrow and next week at Casey, and he might come back in for the Breast Cancer match against the undermanned Bulldogs.
  11. And to think, without umpire assistance the Hawks would be 1-5. Thanks, AFL.
  12. For the love of Barassi, if Tom McDonald isn't attached to Tom Lynch like [censored] glue from the opening bounce next week, I will actually lose my [censored].
  13. Should comfortably be 3 changes. Oliver's a given, ANB depending on tomorrow, and the third...? Grimes back to defence? A lot of players from today should be nervous about how tomorrow goes at Casey.
  14. Amazing what happens when we get the bloody ball into him cleanly. Good to see him rebound from his 0 last week. Great work Jesse.
  15. If he says we looked tired again, like he did after Round 2, I'll throw a brick through the screen.
  16. At least Fremantle lost as well, so we don't have to lament throwing away 6th spot on the ladder or anything really dramatic like that.
  17. If I were Paul Roos, I would be starting his presser today with a call to arms for all Casey players tomorrow. You have a blinder against Essendon, you'll be in the team next week. Have them thirsty for blood and ingrain the culture of pressuring the seniors to perform. Send a message to the marshmallows who didn't show up today at Etihad that you lose your place.
  18. How the hell are we so inept as a club to have only one plan? There should always be a backup plan if the opposition have clearly negated your game plan IN QUARTER ONE. That nothing changed through the entirety of the match is an indictment on our coaches. Especially when the Saints have had the wool on us for years now, it's pretty bloody obvious Richo has us worked out.
  19. Please, please, please let Gold Coast go in as short favourites next week. I never want this club to be favourites ever again, ever. If we ever are, I'll bet my life savings against us and retire a happy man.
  20. What the [censored] happens in the space of 5 days that turns our small forwards to rubbish? Was this coaching from Richo?! I don't get it at all. If they were tired with the short break, something plenty of posters here raised during the week, how the hell did the selectors not see fit to make changes? Wagner and Hunt were never going to keep up great form for extended patches, adding a zero gamer to that list was a disaster in the end. We desperately needed Oliver and, frankly, he deserved a spot in the team more than Petracca (as did several others, to be honest). If Petracca got given his first game because we wanted to attract a larger crowd to Shitihad, it was a shameful decision.
  21. He would be far less effective if they just stuck a key defender on him and kept them there! Jetta is not a matchup for Riewoldt, so I've got no idea what the hell Rawlings is doing.
  22. Ignore the scoreline, we're cooked. We have no energy and it won't magically appear after halftime. We needed more changes than just Brayshaw with so many in-form players in the twos knocking on the door. Adding a 0 gamer to an already green team was comfortably risky and borderline stupid after a 5.5 day break.
  23. Also, Bugg, you can stand up now and be a total dick again. It worked wonders last week. Nobody's started a scrap yet and St Kilda tend to fall apart under serious grunt; get the hell into their players and make it dirty! We have nothing to lose.
  24. I felt this way during the Essendon game, but the good quarter never came. Mark my words, this is a repeat performance of that atrocity. Need some serious scrutiny here over selection if players are this flat after a 5.5 day break; Blind Freddy could've seen Hunt/Wagner being exhausted, and add a debutant in Petracca to that combination and it's seriously lethal... in a bad way. Oliver would've been bloody handy after his 11 day break.
  25. For the love of God, drop this zone defence [censored] and go with something unconventional like... I don't know... STICKING OUR BEST DEFENDER ONTO RIEWOLDT LIKE [censored] GLUE!
