  1. Yeah but I'd be seeing Hamish first, considering he's probably at the ground with family!
  2. West Coast had an insurmountable lead after half-time. If I was in Gaff's position, I would've sat out the rest of the match and gone straight to Hamish in the stands to apologise.
  3. I've been watching a lot of Frontline recently on YouTube. Certainly highlights the outright hypocrisy prevalent in the media; you hit the nail on the head. WA papers will rally behind him in solidarity, because he's a star player. No different to the way the "stars" like Selwood, Dangerfield and Franklin always get generous treatment from umpires and tribunals.
  4. Gotta wonder at what point acts like this, in the modern age, verge into the realm of assault territory? Brayshaw would be fully in his rights to press charges here. Off the ball, unprovoked, unable to defend himself, broken jaw and missing teeth. The fact it happened on a footy field shouldn't provide immunity for the perpetrator of the act. Commit the same act on the street and you're hauled before a magistrate with criminal charges. Seems the AFL is a low unto themselves.
  5. I actually felt repulsed just watching that goal, as the entire crowd burst into cheers for Gaff. Like, what the actual [censored]? He just knocked out a poor kid's teeth off the ball, in their first season no less. Not to mention he's teammates with his brother, and probably future teammates with his older brother. MFC supporters DID NOT behave like that for Bugg after the Mills incident. Classless.
  6. Why did you have to pick Angus' brother, Andrew? WHY?!!?
  7. Gaff obviously thinking of us there. Just trying to make our match against West Coast a little easier, and giving himself a longer off-season to get himself cherry ripe for us Round 1 2019.
  8. Nope, nope, nope! He's a bust we fortunately avoided. Saints will play hardball for him, but his value is very low. Not even close to a first rounder at this point. Saints fans must cry themselves to sleep knowing who went at #4.
  9. I reckon Seven manipulated the audio to reduce the booing; it was deafeningly loud at the ground and outweighed the cheering by a substantial margin.
  10. Gotta wonder if Collingwood regret bringing in Wells and Mayne on $500,000+ multi-year contracts?
  11. Don't underestimate the ways Collingwood can get around the salary cap with their high profile recruits.
  12. Annoyed about the timing -- we really need them to lose against Adelaide. Now they have an extra motivation to cause an upset.
  13. I will say -- it'll be interesting to see if we return to consistent form with Hogan back out of the side. He's obviously best 22 but it's hard to deny that, during our strongest patch of the year (Gold Coast to West Coast), neither Gawn or Hogan were in the team.
  14. We used two first rounders (Oliver and Weideman) in the 2015 draft. We don't need to use any first rounders in a draft until 2019.
  15. Just don't let Fremantle have him!
  16. Search 'Jake Lever and Daniel McStay' in Google and open the article at the top from there.
  17. How are GWS going to pay all these players with contracts ballooning to that size?
  18. He would slot straight in, he's going to be a special player. Wish we'd found a way to get him back in his draft.
  19. A bit like politicians calling speed cameras "road safety cameras." It was an illegal performance-enhancing drugs regime, not a [censored] "supplements saga." I wonder how large the bonus was for the PR spin doctor who pulled that term out of their ass.
  20. He's a few branches short of a tree, is Robbo.
  21. Ah, the good old days, before "journalism" became endless clickbait and product placement disguised as an article (and usually not declared in the addendum).
  22. You know the media has an agenda when they start telling you who and why you should feel sympathy for someone. I reserve my sympathy for people I feel deserve it. James Hird is most definitely not such an individual.
  23. Herald Sun in overdrive taking advantage of the whole situation by running a sustained Hird the Golden Boy narrative. Shockingly transparent stuff.
  24. Just another classic Gillon "Dealmaker" special.
  25. The whole thing makes me sick. The entire narrative that News Corp have attempted to form around the Essendon players is disgusting and hypocritical beyond belief.
