  1. So Mo what list management changes and what game plan given our list characteristics should we have been implementing over the past year or so? ...Still waiting.....
  2. The fact is he didn't but probably could have had a couple after the game.
  3. In: Sylvia Out: Buckley Maric isn't fit. While Bate, Johnson and Morton (and they weren't on there own) had bad games given our weaknesses I cant see us droppiing players being our "best option". And if I am going to roll the dice on Newton I would do it R22 not R2.
  4. Hardly a basis to get a vote at all. He struggled today and made a number of crucial errors. His stats bear that out.
  5. We didnt have marking options up forward but we managed to splice and dice the ground all over the ground. The Roos punisshed us for our turnover errors. I dont think we had the ascendancy today. We were nearly always playing catch up football. We were a class below notwithstanding the endeavour.
  6. Oh, if he bleeds for the Club then that's different. I am sure Miller doesn't!
  7. PJ had the job of following McIntosh and didnt. Spencer in his first game is more value that a 200cm rover whose disposal was iffy and is wooden below his knees My best 6.Moloney 5.Cheney 4.Petterd 3..Warnock 2.Frawley 1.Jones
  8. Isnt he doing that by playing four 1st gamers today?
  9. I have already called it a "reckless brainfade" what more do you want. It was a dumb act. And soon as he had done it...I thought GONE. I was surprised when the umpires did not report him then The only thing unique about it was there was a huge post match complaint because Grinter was not immediately reported. And he was subsequently cited and suspended. I dont like Wallet at all but as a footballer he was a hard in and under player. However, he had his face gashed and got stitches and Griinter broke his hand/finger/wrist. Grinter could his fair whack at the tribunal
  10. One game wont earn you respect. Try a couple of years of good performances
  11. You can comfprtably fit all of Trav's good games in the past four years comfrotably on a 90 minute VCR. Fan sums it up well. Did he have a hard tag on him last night??
  12. Sorry Jack, Johnson effort was nothing like it. Whatever you want to say about the target of Grinters fist, this was a perfect example of the reckless brainfades that undermined Grinter's talent ovger the course of his career.
  13. I wouldn't. Fev skills are elite but his attitude when not focussed is deplorable. The last thing I would want Newton to think he is like Fev. He has none of his elite skills and many of Fev's worst behavioural indulgences.
  14. No it isnt. Just your lack of logic settling. If Thompson decide to trade Moloney and keep another six midifielders he could have traded, it says something. You work it out Thompson made "glowing" comments about Moloney at the time he was traded. But FFS, what else would a coach say in public if he was cutting someone.
  15. I am not sure what game plan Wallet was into last night. But what game plan would you suggest for a Club that has poor skills with the ball and abysmal defensive efforts when they dont have it. I dont. At times on the field over his career Richo has shown a need to grow up. Its no wonder in a side crying for leadership that a so called club "icon" is not captain and has never captained the team.
  16. You're kidding. He's one paced and his kicking is a concern because of his poor decision making at times when he has the ball.
  17. Did your colleagues smile nod and walk away quietly? Its a pity that the similarity is miscast when Cameron has only been at Richmond for 18 months. Most of the Richmond errors you gloat about occurred under Greg Miller. He has gone. The next could be Wallace. But its Round 1 and its a long season. Putting Wallace to the sword may be pre mature despite the cards getting stacked against him. However, I struggle to see what MFC have achieved on the field at this point. Alot of people dining out on Richmond's disaster are going to look rather stupid if we dont put up a better showing than them and beat them in Round 4. But as I have said elsewhere there player list is a product of poor recruitment and retention over a number of years. When there experienced half dozen hang the boots up. There is a big gap to the next level. Agree. It counts for zip. So was Shannon Motlop. Exactly. He has been a capable ruckman over the distance. Richmond lose him and they are in a terrible mess Until Spencer shows something in the AFL, Simmonds is currently better than all our ruck stocks. But its a dilemna for the Tigers as he reaches his twilight.
  18. I am not sure why you made a point of mentioning it. Its not worth its weight in torn up 2009 Tiger membership tickets
  19. Would you seriously expect Vlad to say anything but that? I would not draw an inch of comfort from statements like that.
  20. There is no doubt that Fev's skills when applied produce results that push him toward elite. However his career has been pot holed by some of the most rank displays of immaturity, stupidity and selfishness that have made him often more a chump than a champ. In many cases Fev beats himself. Both Buddy and Fev are good full forwards. Franklin cannot be discounted as CHF. CHFs dont kick 100+goals in a season. The gaping difference between Fev's best and his worst will always make a Fev an enigma. It would be nice if Jack Watts was as good if not better than Fev and psychologically about 20 years older too!
  21. I would sack a coach if he ever made such a meek or unaccountable assessment of a performance like that. How about the opposition is only as good as you let them be? We dont know where MFC will stand in all this. We have not done a thing to date beyond supporters hope. The loss of Cousins will be a cruel blow for the Tigers and better for us. But MFC have to step up over the next 4 weeks.
  22. What exactly have Melbourne proven to date? Neither side has any realistic chance of a premiership this year. And neither have any real form beyond hope in future years. Both sides have big question marks on their lists. However going forward I would prefer to be in MFC's position than Richmond's. Richmond are hardly the worst list in the AFL. They are certainly along way from the best. Wallet has had 5 years to build a list capable of competing in the finals. Its got all the hallmarks of a trainwreck. Its a bad start but I wont write them off yet. But the Punt Rd drums will start beating a little louder for the coach, the medical staff and many of the players. But Mitch Morton looks a good player. I hope his brother Cale is twice as good.
  23. After 5 years Redleg, the Coach and the player concerned are accountable. Their medical staff deserve a huge spray for letting Cousins back on in the last quarter. Ping...hamstring gone and now gone for a 3 to 4 weeks. Oh dear. Not doing yourself any favours with that assessment.
  24. Another poster seduced by a number on a draft list.
  25. Agree. You can only rattle the tin once with good effect. Stynes and Co have done that well. We need to promote the positive and hopefully on the field we see further evidence of that.
