  1. Agree. And Williams is the answer or is this just whinge #101?
  2. He used to fall over alot when he played. This might explain it
  3. Agree. Good another crumbing forward. Will his improvement be better than Jetta, Wonna, Bennell or Maric?? Answered your own questions. And Bailey is going to recruit another one who is questionable under pressure.
  4. We already have Wonna in that role. What would you offer given the number of players we are delisting and the rookies we are elevating? Is he a critical get for us? Think about it.
  5. Like Wonna??? Honestly, MFC is not a family repatriation depot. Pass.
  6. If Jimma tells not to accept mediocrity then the clouds will clear, the sun will shine and Brennan will sing alleluia!! Players like Brennan who tease with talent but dont deliver are a dime a dozen. He makes Michael Newton look switched on. Why? Our focus for the list has been the recruit of youth onto the list with the exception of JoelMac. Why do we need to improve when we havent been at fault??? I am not sure why you compare Brennan and Ingerson. Ingo was a player at Adelaide and MFC who had moderate talent and worked hard to get the best out of himself. Brennan's lazy withot the ticker to work hard.
  7. Good work. That will really show'em. How will that happen when the AFL/Brisbane will do the investigating? And the police investigation will only centre on whether he did or didnt flash the allegwed victim. Its just amazing some posters are contemplating Fev at MFC. Thought the post was self therapy in some way. Good summary Jack.
  8. I think the issues on Darling are more off the field. Hardly. Different size. Different type of player. Millers opportunities were his own and even he is gracious enough to acknowledge where he is and the fair chance MFC gave him. Hawkins was a Father/Son gratuity
  9. Brennan on $650k - $700k a year! Crikey they must be getting desperate. If ever there was a player who played like he doesnt like the cold weather in Melbourne its Brennan. Actually plays like he does not enjoy the warmer weather in Brisbane. Talented gumby who could have been anything athletic but goes missing far too often and has horrendous brain explosions with decision making. Off to Gold Coast you go.
  10. Two words that dampen that hope.... Shane Warne He is exactly what Carlton and Brisbane need but they are both ready to go to great pain to get rid of him TOXIC. I can only think he has all the charm that Mark "Jacko" Jackson brought to MFC. Talented gorilla forward that was a fruitcake Its exactly what he had at Brisbane and its those alleged breaches that they are getting rid of him. If he did not abide to the strict conditions then it will cost the Club alot of consideration (eg Carlton and Brisbane) I would have thought that Fevola, Lovett and a few other cases would have and should have taught most watchers about punting on faulty goods. You put the blindfold and spin the barrel of the gun and....
  11. The Hawks have recently resigned Roughhead for a further 2 to 3 years so they wont be trading him. And if they did they would want far more than Warnock. And players like Maric and Cheney are not "trade bait" to push the deal through And as a premiership forward this year down on his confidence he still kicks 49 goals from 92 shots from a patchy up and down midfield....he a spud. And Watts is more a Riewoldt than Kosi type of forward. I dont see Watts as a second ruckman forward.
  12. Hardly a scoop and very much old news. And unless something has changed in the past 4 weeks I dont think Miller will go due to settled interests here in Melbourne.
  13. Into that list: Jones, Martin Out of the list: Jamar.
  14. Agree and your statement highlighted has been overlooked by many posters blinded by an early history of howlers. He had a great 2010 and needs an equally good 2011 to maintain his spot. Until better options develop, he is the 1st choice for the smal defender role. OOC atm but should get a 2 year contract at market rates imo. Not the best kick but certainly not the worst in the side. Did some great stopping jobs this year.
  15. Too true but too easily forgotten by too many.
  16. A good preseason should fix it!. I think we have a number of mid size marking forwards that play the role that McKinley plays. He will be after good $$$$ and I cant see us pushing hard to cover a role in the side that I that we have covered particularly by Green and Petterd.
  17. Rampant MFCSS. And to think teams in the past few years have not been pushing us on the field! *Awaits Jean Luc Picard to place hand on forehead*
  18. At 184cm and 822 kgs, he is about the same height and weight but not necessarily as good as Green, Petterd, Sylvia. I think we have enough of that type in a list of 40 players. Lets focus on what we actually need.
  19. Wrong. He was up against three other very worthy AA competitors in Didak, Green and Le Cras. Green was more a victim of the AA selectors going three marking talls in the forward line with Buddy, Hall and Riewoldt. If anyone was a victim of their ladder position, its Le Cras. In a side that for most of the year was terrible with a carp midfield he was an absolute beacon of performance. Too many posters have the red and blue goggles too tight it seems. MFC have done wonderfully well with Frawley and Jamar in the side. Frawley is well on the way to being the best defender I have seen at MFC since Hardeman. Jamar is such a great story and he deserves the accolade.
  20. Stevie J had claims as good as Green. I am still disappointed he missed but its great for Russian and Chip. Give Green the captaincy!
  21. He is??? Scully has already overtaken him in the midfield. Trengove will next year. He is going to have to fight hard to hold his place.
  22. Well done Chippa. And as an aside another accolade to the Footy Department in signing for four years earlier this season. Great stuff.
  23. When you have a list of 40 players you are always vulnerable. rpfc has nailed it with MFCSS and all. Frawley just has at 22. Garland has missed a season of good football. He did well to get on top of the game after so long out. He will be fine. And we have Wellman as defensive coach. And there is more heat in the midfield and forwardline where they are defintitely guilty of accepting mediocrity.
