3 years at his time of life is an eternity. He will be more entrenched in Melbourne and hopefully we will be more competitive and playing finals. Chances of being a one club player massively increased. Happy days!

I remember when Geelong were at their low point and Bomber Thompson had his foot on the banana skin Ling was heavily criticised for acquiring few possessions and doing nothing with them. Was pretty ineffectual before the whole teams philosophy changed. I see parallels with Jordie and feel it is far too early to write him off. He was at the centre of some important plays while keeping Stanton out of the game.

Not religious but not a fan of Good Friday football. These holidays are as much cultural as they are religious and I see no benefit to breaking with the tradition of a having a quiet reflective day free of external distractions. Probably an old fashioned view.

As time goes on Danks appears more and more dodgy. Essendon is either complicit or severely negligent for not doing due diligence or adequately monitoring programs. Hird cannot or should not survive this. If he ever coaches again or indeed has any role in football it will be an outrage. The other interesting character in this is Doc Reid and his half hearted response to what was happening. Only explanation is blind loyalty to a favourite son. Inexcusable.

I think Chip has given us plenty up forward this season and I was rapt with his obvious joy at getting a win. I think though it is the height of arrogance to think he would know better than Jackson and Roos who would be a good successor. Still think his decision was made ages ago and he is rationalising. Maybe he is having second thoughts giving the feeling in the group and the obvious improvement.
