List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.
Spot on, but had they made massive wholesale changes to their playing personnel would they have been able to make those other adjustments? It's A lot easier to make game plan changes when the team are already very familiar with each other.

List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.
The Tigers after 2016 were criticised for not making a heap of list changes, they got in Nank, Prestia and Caddy, but at that stage they weren't seen as a massive boost (Prestia had the biggest wraps but little to no other suitors). Of course 2017 rolls around, they have a blessed run with injuries and because the group had been together they took it out. Not saying I'm convinced but glad the club doesn't overreact like all on here. Bringing in Langdon, Tomlinson and maybe Elliot or someone else might be all we need.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Spot on, his hunger will come from being moved on from a club, not from missing out in the big dance. There's a chance he could be left out of the team if Cogs and Whitfield are right, they'll need to find 3 spots (Greene as well).

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Given Tony Sheahan said it, it's now much less likely that Tomlinson is headed our way. He gets more wrong than anyone else in the media, he only gets it 'right' once the deals are done and well known. Well and truly the worst of any journalist who has a crack at trade week.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
It has hurt the chances of potentially splitting with them, won't mean we won't be getting creative somehow. This year Freo will need later picks for their NGA guy, next year the Dogs have a very highly rated kid coming through. So next years picks could certainly be in play. For instance offering the Dogs our 1st next year for their 1st this year and a couple of this years 3rds. Then we could package up our 3 3ds for Langdon, while keeping our 2nd.
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
If they didn't get the PP, or it ended up later than pick 2, then maybe we could arrange to trade pick 2 to them, with extra's coming back - picks, King etc. with a handshake agreement that if Langdon goes to the PSD they don't touch him. Highly doubtful it's going to happen anyway.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Nothing that will impact anything he does for the Dees.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
I highly doubt it will happen, so I'll say that first. but don't rule out the pre-season draft. Langdon is desperate to get out of Freo now, he's not leaving on good terms with some teammates. So if Freo stuff around, there's a chance he'll walk himself. players normally don't go to the PSD because they are grateful for the opportunities given and want their former club to get something, but he wants out as soon as possible and structured his life to do that.

Farewell Sam Frost
Think his manger has talked him up big time and got into Frost's head that he's worth a whole lot more than he really is. That's ok, he's 26 has had his best season yet, so it's not surprising, but I think there's a lot of clubs that'll be intrigued with his athleticism but when they get into the contract/trade side might cool off. Fair chance we might be happy to wait and then only offer a 1 year reduced deal and let him show that he's worthy of bigger $

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Won't be until a few days after the granny, the AFL know how to manage the media so after the results have died down a bit they'll bank on a heap of uproar/talk about the PP

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Mention here that we'd want more than just the giants 2 first round picks - https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-08-29/why-the-giants-are-eyeing-off-the-demons-no2-draft-pick

Splitting Draft Pick 3
It was talked up at the time that we beat multiple clubs to get Tyson. I don't think GWS slipping down the draft order is a bad thing for us, gives us more leverage in who we ask for, and getting Tomlinson will help too, he's got a great reputation with teammates
- Bring back Jesse Hogan!!

Farewell Sam Frost
He was a massive Buckley fanboi as well, plus he was told his best position was as a back. There was no low balling, he would have been paid more by us, that was well known at the time.

List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.
Don't agree with all of it, but love that you had a crack. I wish more posters on here would give up their thoughts/ideas on what their ideal trade period looks like, but suspect most don't because other instantly go negative on it.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Highly doubt it, here's an extract from the little paper: PAUL PUOPOLO (HAW) Another one who is up for grabs. Melbourne needs some help in the small forward department but the Dees don’t seem to be interested. Cards look marked at the Hawks.

Farewell Sam Frost
Depends if he's standing 25 metres away in between his man and the ball! Happened a lot this year. Yes he's not a bad shut down player but we've played it best in the last 2 seasons with a zone defence, so a pure shut down role doesn't fit that model.

Irish recruits
I'd be asking if he can play rather than getting fixated on his height, no point getting an unco baby giraffe just for the sake of getting taller players
-
Irish recruits
Going to come through as a Cat B rookie, meaning he'd be a free hit. We've tried with Maynard, J.Smith, Walker and Bradkte over the last few years, and none have worked out to well so far, but JSmith certainly looked the goods and Bradtke has a lot of time to develop. I don't see why we don't try with a guy who costs us nothing except development time and energy, guys drafted from the under-ages can bust just the same but they cost cap space and a draft pick to get them.

Irish recruits
Caleb Daniel goes alright

Farewell Sam Frost
Seemed like the kind of interviews de-listed players have in the lead up to the draft and in particular the pre-season supplementary selection period last year.Guys like Nathan Freemon, Jimmy Toumpas, Hugh Goddard etc. all did similar on SEN.
-
Farewell Sam Frost
The offers would have come before this year, they would have come on the back of what he did in the finals and what he would have been projected to do. We'll never know of course, but I have no doubt if we put both on the market we'd get a whole lot more for Weid than Frost.
-
Farewell Sam Frost
Spot on, if he's your best key back then there are issues. He can be a good complementary piece in the right environment, but I still don't see that he's a definite best 22 when everyone is fit. May, Lever, Jetta and Hibberd, then 1/2/3 of Frost, Hore, Petty or Omac plus a mid running through like Salem, Jones (Lewis this year) etc.
-
Farewell Sam Frost
Weid had just come off a finals series where he was very good, as a 21 year old key position forward. He would have had a huge amount of suitors. Frost has just played his best season, but still has massive limitations, and is best as the 2nd key back and can only be used in certain structures, so it would rule out a lot of clubs.

Darwin game dumped
Will all depend on the sponsorship agreement offered by the NT government, maybe a pre-season game and a regular season? If they halve our sponsorship then I'd assume it'll be 1 game max.
