Being a lifelong asthmatic I can fully understand the idea behind it. Swimming was the only thing that developed my lung capacity to a point where I was able to ease off on medications. Having said that, surely there are other, safer, ways of doing it??? Also, if this was a preseason training drill, why are we still doing it? It's game time, let's get some skills training happening and retain fitness levels, rather than pushing to improve. No wonder players look tired on game day and can't dispose properly.

Agree with this. I figured they were going for a 'safety in numbers' approach. Whereby if we didn't take the mark, and couldn't crumb it, there'd be defensive pressure on hand immediately. Unfortunately it makes it harder to score at the same time through the congestion.

I really feel like Dec is one of those few players that will improve at the highest level, so based on his already good form, if that happens he'll be there to stay and quickly become a fan favourite. That really depends on other factors. If it were just Jordy then no, however if a Hawk or Tiger for example were to do the exact same thing, then I'm sure any rules would become flexible.
