WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY

By my math we won these deals by a long way. We got 400 for Hogan, and May and KK only 48. Winning! -

I like it, but we have a lot to do to get this thread to 400 pages in the next few minutes. -
Why would we throw in draft picks when we need them to fill our list?
-
-
But of course they haven't said that to us because as we know they aren't interested in Hogan this year, and are no longer discussing him with us.
-
Yep, they get bits and pieces only, similar to the Hogan trade. We still are no closer to knowing the full deal.
-
So how many of the media experts actually got the specifics of that trade correct?

Demonland

Better put that away, you'll just get yourself all jacked up.

Don't forget their trade value back to an Adelaide club. Both clubs are obviously desperate to land them, so you'd think they'd be looking at 2 decent first rounders in a couple of years. There's an investment aspect to it. I was hoping we'd trade down to the early picks to grab Rankine and let the Crows knock on our door in a couple of years. Ah, while you're here boys, Jakey Lever wants to say hi, twice.
-
I hoped we got him in his draft year, but he hasn't come on as well as I thought. Not sure about him now.

Who's got pick 53, and how do we get our hands on that little gem???
-
Didn't the Freo statement say they were stopping the due diligence process? Does that mean if they do end up signing JH they won't have done their due diligence?
-
Not even close champ. And I'll play nice, I won't tell you what I'm pegging you for. Carry on.
-
Yet you found it funny that the guess was wrong, not that it was funny Patches thought you were a reincarnate. It's pretty clear to me, and I hope the mods are thoroughly looking into it.
-
Are you admitting you've had a previous account on Demonland? Were you banned, and is it actually allowed to return under a new name?

Why would any club pay wages of an opposition player who they've essentially been outbid on? MFC: Jesse we'll pay you $900k per year, please stay. FFC: Jesse, come to us and we'll pay you $1 mil a year. Jesse: Ok Freo I'm in, go and deal with my club. FFC: MFC, can you please help us out by paying $200k a year for your player that we've offered more for? It doesn't work like that.

The Funky Homosapien? In a direct swap?

That's not a rat you're smelling Belly. You're a small man, your nose is too close to your date!

At this stage we're only hearing about KK and May, so still a lot of draft picks to be used regardless. It's going to be interesting to see how we do this, I'm thinking there's some delisted free agency action coming up.
-
How many [censored] times do we need to go over this? He's not a free agent. His contract runs out at afternoon tea tomorrow, and if no trades are done for him, he'll be available on the tearoom bench. If nobody picks him up, he'll be de-plated and go back in the cupboard, at which time he can move to anyone with the munchies. There were early rumours that Phil Scully was looking to do a trade for him, but suddenly some KFC became available and all his decent picks are going on that. Regardless, I can't see him getting through the pre-work session, Phil's generally first in the kitchen of a morning.
