  1. He has been good for them, but at half back. One of the reasons he said he left is because they had a defined forward role for him... which lasted about 2 weeks. Wasn't happy playing HBF at melbourne, and now playing it in a less successful team
  2. I've got one to add... The last time we beat the wooden spooners... Not since Roos has been at the club. Saints 2014, Blues 2015, Essendon 2016
  3. I think the players still look to someone else when things go wrong. The lose confidence and struggle to get it back. We need a strong leader with match winning capability, who drags everyone with them. Jonesy has done heaps for this club, and is a good captain, but not outstanding. Viney and Gawn aren't there yet. I don't think we can trade this in, because that calibre of player rarely comes on the market, and when he did he chose geelong. We can develop it, but it will take time
  4. Would probably have cost us 550k to get him across. Might be 725k in the first year?
  5. Disappointing not to still be in the hunt. Disappointing not to beat a [censored] team like carlton. Looking forward to trade week and pre-season reports
  6. How many 100 pt losses this year? How many 10 goal losses. It has improved. Maybe not as much as we would like, but to say Roos has failed at reducing the gap is just incorrect
  7. Not really... Dion: I want to be a tige but I want 700k a year for 5 years Richmond: we're glad you picked us but we're concerned about your knee... Dion: then I'll choose the Pies Richmond: have 1mil over 10 Dion: ?
  8. I think this draft is good depth wise, so you're right, it would be nice to be in the 2nd round. And next year's high end picks are supposed to be very good, so keeping a 1st rounder would be nice. We'll see what we have to give up, but hopefully we don't let them screw us over
  9. Trading next year's 2nd rounder would solve this problem. Still in the 2nd rd this year and the 1st next year
  10. Wonder who? Not us, surely. Would he appeal to essendon? They need help for daniher
  11. If we were to pinch a roo I'd take mason wood... black is VFL grade
  12. It may be a 'develop our own' mentality to a point. I know Roos said we'd like to bring in an a grader but I don't think there are any on offer. I don't mind strengthening either our draft position if we have our eye on a kid, or bringing in a player based on need, but we aren't going to sell the farm for a player that won't make a huge difference. We're not Richmond.
  13. Because it's their home ground? Really all of their home games should be there...
  14. SHOULD be at Simmonds, but I think someone in another thresd said they working on one of the grand stands. If true, would have to be at the G
  15. He argued that we have only beaten 2 top 8 sides... so have north. And of we beat geelong that's 3
  16. Martin Blake has written an article saying that if we make the 8, we don't deserve it. Su rely if you have more wins than the bottom 10, you deserve to be there.
  17. Just saw this is a replacement game so members get in for free. Will be there with bells on!
  18. No t to mention a lack of buy in from the players... wouldn't want to slack off in the gym with Viney watching ?
  19. He would be a good fit, but only if he is committed to us and not for a first round pick. We still have Salem to come back, and Melksham to add. Look elsewhere Dees
  20. I agree, but the old Will Ralston's Scully parody of Adele still gets the odd play
  21. The old 'my enemy's enemy is my friend' trick? A poster said they would be conflicted if it was scully taking a shot after the siren to sink North... I'd be cheering him on something fierce!
  22. Oscar got the RS Nomination
