  1. Blind Freddy can see there’s a disconnect.
  2. Talk about stats being misleading - we’re down in just about every category including disposals, disposal efficiency, contested possession, uncontested possessions, clearances, marks … Surely the scoreboard attendant is asleep at the wheel.
  3. Fritta’s first kick

TdK, Kennedy, Acres … And we lost a couple of our best players within two years of our flag. Their window is wide open. Our’s has shut.

Petty’s ‘one wood’ is his marking. Check his stats - in the games he’s played well he’s had 8-11 marks. I’ve watched him closely (live). He’s rarely in a position to mark when playing forward. I don’t think he knows how to play as a forward - where to lead to, how to work cohesively with he’s fellow forwards etc. He’s not even doing the ‘one percenters’ - tackling, shepherding, chasing. I’ve said it numerous times this year, we’re playing a man short whilst he’s in the team. He needs a kick up the backside via a stint at Casey.
  6. Maybe it's time Brimbank Council adopt the same rules that Greece has. Passport and bag check at all entry points. Problem solved. BTW been to Greece a dozen times. Never scared. Never been to St Albans. Thanks for the heads up.
  7. Following (a tad less keenly than previous years) from Schinoussa in the Greek Cyclades. In truth, just braggin'.
  8. If we get screwed I would expect the Pies would similarly. Nathan Murphy was re-signed in Feb for three more years post this season. It may have been reported it was only one, but that's not correct. Nathan has been concussed on at least 10 occasions. Furthermore, he was tested by the AFL a few weeks before Gus but ruled out some weeks after Gus.

Lin Jong has East Timorese/Chinese heritage.
  10. Bobby Hill methinks. Four days to get over a sprained ankle. He’ll be right (unfortunately).
  11. I wouldn’t be dropping Tommo. He was far from our worst player yesterday. Furthermore, I seem to recall him playing pretty well on KB last year (15 disposals, 10 marks) only to be dropped the following week. He’d remember that and IMO have something to prove.
  12. Fieldman.

In fairness, his 2 disposals today was only marginally less than the 6 disposals he’s averaged over the last six weeks.
  14. Joeboy - showed admirable constraint.

Go via Adelaide and drop Petty off.

No, no, you’re wrong there. I was at that game. Much more commitment shown that day.

Still, it presents an opportunity for those at Casey who are pressing for senior selection. Oh, wait …

‘Career worst game’ won’t get a run now I’ve used it.

Joeboy thumbing through his thesaurus as we ‘speak’. Keen to see how many derogatory descriptors he can find.

Your last three words are superfluous.

No Tiger on the goal line.
  22. Hundreds, possibly thousands of hours transferring code in Fortran, Algol and COBOL onto cards never to use one iota of what I learnt - ended up teaching maths!
  23. I too like this selection. Assuming we make the top eight we’re going to need Max for at least three, possibly more tough finals. He’ll be rucking significantly less time post bye you’d think. Similarly JvR is hardly battle-hardened and his TOG may decrease a tad. Luker could well be centre stage by round 20.
  24. Me too. Totally confused by that interweb thingy. PS I graduated in 1975 with a degree in Computer Science.
  25. I’m sure Staff is a ripping bloke. I’m more than happy to have him coaching the likes of Max, JvR, Petty, Fullarton (?), BBB and our new recruit in ruck craft. But when it comes to coaching players where to position themselves inside the forward 50, how to rove to a pack etc he’s not drawing on his experience. We could well use the likes of Matthew Lloyd, J Brown or even Eddie Betts.
