  1. I'd say they'll want to give him a taste of the Dees by the end of the year. One or two should do it and have him busting to pull on the guernsey for 2015!
  2. Misson: "“Jesse has come back from Perth and has improved a lot,” Misson said. “We’d expect to start loading Jesse, from a running point of view, in a couple of weeks’ time. He’s probably four weeks after that before he’s even looking like he’s ready to play." So optimistically 6, realistically 8?
  3. Bugger.. Well here's hoping it did rub off then!
  4. The kid is living with Jack Viney... is there one other guy in the Dees list who you would prefer Jesse live with. You can count on Jack to have the personality, attitude and the passion for the club required to keep him interested. His blind love for the club is sure to rub off.
  5. For the Bail knockers this is an interesting comment: MELBOURNE: Rohan Bail Bail fills a very specific role for Melbourne. The Demons love his pressure and his ability to cause turnovers, highlighted by the fact he heads the list of pressure acts (159) at the club. Daniel Cross' determination is a given and his club-leading tackle count of 50 should come as little surprise. Bail is second on that table with 47 for the year, bumped up by the 10 he laid against Carlton in his club's first win of the year in round four. That day, the Demons out-tackled the Blues 84-65 and Bail was clearly among his side's best. – Ben Guthrie http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-05-14/kings-of-pressure
  6. Off the foxsports website: Dom Barry (calf) test Jesse Hogan (back) 4 weeks Dean Kent (calf) 1 week Viv Michie (jaw) 2 weeks Luke Tapscott (hamstring) available Jack Trengove (foot) season Dean Terlich (concussion) TBC 4 weeks? Where did they get that from? That's a lot shorter than the 'indefinite' we had last week!
  7. Would love to see what his efficiency was, by all accounts was directing play well. Either way, 15 tackles and 21 disposals is hugely positive for Toump!
  8. True, but long term I'd probably prefer Toumpas over both. At least my opinion is that Toumpas has considerably more upside and has shown form this year. A hard nose is great but after a point it doesn't provide much, particularly if the whole team develops that attitude - as they should.
  9. For who out of curiosity? On the basis of the potential we saw on the weekend?
  10. Knock himself out on the point of Dangerfields shoulder as he puts his head over a loose ball. As reward he gets 5 stitches across the forehead and he's no longer referred to as Jogger... (Harry Potter instead maybe)
  11. Can't see it, if he was then Roos would be lampooned for mixed messaging. I'm like everyone else (frustrated at his perceived lack of effort), but as always I'll defer to Roosy on this and hope he can work his magic... (sceptical).
  12. Essentially saying the constant attention he gets is surprising and doesn't reflect the club's attention. Also spoke about how they are trying to get him to play multiple roles and it can be confusing, that he played well the first few weeks and has only just dropped off in the last couple: "I get a little bit surprised that everything goes back to Jack Watts. We've got a lot more problems at this club than Wattsy's form," Roos said.

  14. Straight swap for Terlich? Seems to be playing better than clisby and strauss?
  15. Whoever is going on about signing off MFC, go for it, we don't want such short minded fair weather supporters. Tonight was always going to be tight, tonight was clearly.. CLEARY, much better than almost any time last year. I'm signing off demonland instead
  16. For gods sake, calm down people. Zero forward line means no production, this is something that will be naturally fixed by returning players. Some players were very positive. Watts was terrific through the middle, so much potential over time. Tyson was great, toumpas took the game on. When keys forwards come back and you have targets up the ground the whole shape changes. I am a lifetime supporter, so I have felt what you have. But some people on here are ridiculous. I choose to look at the positives, do as you will...
  17. Keep it, particularly if we get Vince/Cross.
  18. Good info from "FantastyFreako": pic.twitter.com/vgKkHA3Hda
  19. Howe should've learnt to be better at ground level by now anyway. We've tried playing him on the wing and it just doesn't suit him. I'm ok with having him stay in the fwd fifty and create another marking option. Two/three best defenders go to Hogan, Dawes and Clarke... Howe can have a field day. Wouldn't mind a small forward coming in to the mix somewhere. Blease needs to use that opportunity imo.
  20. Woah MD, I wasn't trolling.. I was asking if the post that I just read was trolling.... Obviously he was! Shame, really like Redden, would be perfect.
  21. Was just watching the Fox Sports trade chat and some punter said he heard from an inside source that Redden may be an option... quote: "hearing from a source inside melbourne football club that they are trying to go after Jack Redden and pick 26 for pick. Brisbane are seriously considering the trade" Anyone corroborate or is this just trolling?
  22. I want to see Watts given free reign. We've seen how well he positions himself in defense and how well he can present in attack. If he builds up his endurance he could be a very handy Brendan Goddard style of player.
  23. I was being a little sarcastic. My point is that he has limitations, in pace and skill, but he runs in hard and will be determined as all hell to make an impression. Count on him leading the tackle count and being high up the list in possessions by day's end.
  24. Toumpas showed good form at Casey, and besides with him its all about development. So when you're a 4th pick and you've played a good un' in the VFL he should be rewarded with a kick at AFL. He was also selected because he's got nice skills, and god knows we need some of that. Love that Magner has been selected. I don't care if he's the slowest man in the league. As long as he gets to the stoppages and bullocks his way towards the ball, then he's done enough for me. We need muscle.
  25. They'd say something along the lines of: "Nicko has elite endurance and is developing nicely".
