WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Makes some interesting reading. https://www.zerohanger.com/champion-data-reveal-best-worst-kicks-2017-14091/ Has Hunt in the best 10 kicks of 2017 based on a variance between the difficulty of the attempted kick and the % of those kicks then hit. Proves you can make stats support almost any outcome.

Tim Smith v Cam Pedersen
I assume you will have T-Mac and Weid in your best 22? Now do your side if one is unavailable. Now do your side if both are unavailable. There is best 22 and then next up based on position. If this happens it appears we will be playing one tall KPF or relying on the resting ruck as the second tall or expecting the role to filled by one of two Smiths or Keilty. The only other would be to tinker with our back 6 which i suspect will be unlikely. Another year for Ped as the last spot on our list I would have thought would have been a reasonable contingency. T Smith I feel is limited but really has not had a clear run of it once he has made the senior side.

My Christmas wish list:
1. Full season from Viney 2. Trac has a breakout 3. Lever's full recovery 4. Weid build's on Geelong EF and signs early 5. Hunt and Kola get back to previous promise. 6. The Gawn/Preuss double delivers 7. TMac outscores the bloke that went west 8. May proves he is the gorilla tamer we have desperately needed

Operation Re-Sign 2019
Weid is the most important signing and Salem will be interesting as to the club and players perception of worth in both contract length and $$$ If you are looking at where we may need to further improve without knowing the output of the current crop we have recruited then Phillips, Gresham, Z Jones, Lewie Taylor should all be enquired into. I still think we need midfield run and a touch of zip around half forward/midfield. I have ignored the unrealistic option of either Kelly.

Training - Friday, 21st December 2018
Unsure where to put this query and apologies if it has been answered but do we know what is up with Angus and lack of siting on the trackl. Article on the MFC website today about the traditional Brayshaw brothers 100 x 100s on Xmas day but he mentions he cant participate this year but does not state why. It kind of made no sense to do an article about something he is not doing this year but anyway....

Vote Melbourne's best goal of 2018
My fave of the year was not in the 10. Oliver's gather and snap in round 3 v Nth after being pushed to full forward. It was the point where I thought is there anything this man can't do. Melksham's for the combo of skill and importance must be the winner surely.

The Big Trades of 2015, 2017 and 2018
A great read. Oliver on his own is worth all the players and picks we missed.

AFLX Revamped
Not saying I agree with the AFLX focus but.... Increased world TV rights. Licence fees if it takes off in a country. Potential to uncover international AFLX talent that can translate to trial AFL as an international rookie. I would prefer they create AFLX and fiddle with rules for an international version there than attempt to refine the pure game into a farce that may suit.

Round 1 team 2019
Yet you have included someone with no exposed AFL form nor even any pre-season guides to allude to... Sorry still a bit lost.
-
Round 1 team 2019
You lost me as soon as you said it was on preseason form then included Hore for round 1 who is a recruit who has not even trained with the main group. How does this logic stand up?

AFLX Revamped
I am amazed that people are missing the number 1 point. They don't give a hoot how it goes here. That is why it is a mickey mouse event. They do care about showing it overseas and seeing if they can create interest for other countries to play it. There is no way AFL can break new markets for true participation. However AFLX with smaller grounds needed, less people per team, high speed, less contact.

Lewis Giving It Everything in 2019
Agreed. Its a BS headline and has no relevance to what he says quoted in the article. I dont think Lewis is the type that would know how to prepare any other way.

Who’s left?
Disagree we already had Jones proven and Viney, Petracca and Brayshaw were all known for their want of contested ball and had just drafted Oliver for the same (granted no exposed AFL form at that time). In the next 2 years they will lose Kreuzer, Murphy, Simpson who would arguably be 3 of their best 5. Based on the team you have put up I see alot of outside ball and very little inside ball. Even with that I see a lot of limited players on exposed form.
-
Who’s left?
Cripps aside, who is going to and get the ball? Cripps, Docherty and possibly Curnow aside who are the definite A grade talent based on exposed potential? A lot of what if there.

2019 best 22 and depth chart
Disagree. We need a stay at home defender/primary stopper that is defence first not intercept/counter attack first. This is Oscar. He was quality for most of the year. Will have further improved his strength and endurance and will have the further support of May and Lever. If he maintains even his form of last year he will play all season.

2019 best 22 and depth chart
May and Oscar play nothing alike. May and Frost is a much closer comparison in attributes, may though has an abounds of footy nous to go with his strength and speed.

2019 best 22 and depth chart
Whilst Casey's form has been good I have not enjoyed watching them as much as most of the players I have had good view of and in most cases had plateaud. Its exciting to me that there will be a lot of young kids to watch develop this year to complement the quality mature depth across ours and Casey's list.

2019 best 22 and depth chart
I love how Frost appears to have not only become a better defender already over the preseason but for some has also developed the tools to play wing as well as forward swingman. Unless Lever gets up for round 1 Frost will get his chance but O-Mac will clearly be the stay at home back man to complement the attack and intercept of May and Lever.

Training - Friday 23rd November, 2018
Saty, apologies if this has been covered in another thread but do you know which line group Hunt will be training with?

Welcome to Demonland: Kade Chandler
Left footed small forward who tested with good vertical jump results at SA combine.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Kade Chandler
small forward 173cm and attended the SA combine I believe. Had the 2nd best running vertical jump at the combines at 93cm. 10th best standing vertical at 73cm. NB another leftie.

Welcome to Demonland Toby Bedford
We could also choose not to take him at all?
