The game does not have to even be at the MCG. We could have played this match at the Cattery on Saturday night to give us an actual Bye. Could have played Sydney and WCE on Thursday night. WCE don't need a long break after the BYE and Sydney would have had a 6 day break made up by an 8 day break into their Friday night game next week. Oh yeah I forgot, TV rights. No one wants to see the Eagles in Prime Time.
