sums it up pretty well. undoubtedly our greatest player of the naughties and one of our best all time.

congrats on a great career neita!

hope we get to see you out on the park one more time for the send off you deserve!

An All-Australian defender who won the coleman medal....I'm just waiting for some boof head to say "he did nothing".

Neita has shown a ton-of-guts to play on this year with that sort of condition.

Neita is doing the right thing by going on to the long term injury list and giving the club a chance to get some more development time into a rookie.

From a playing perspective I am one of those saying that time's all but up. Hopefully he is fit again for the Geelong game [as suggested by posters earlier] and we can give him the send off he deserves...and gives us a rare highlight in this nightmare of a season.

I'd rather he called it a day there and then, and then took on a role within the club on an ongoing basis...just the kind of bloke we need around the MFC going forwards.

His records speaks for itself - he is the greatest MFC player ever.

Just want to be there for his last game and help give him the send off he has earned and deserves.

i believe that he has been one of the greatest captains of this club aswell

You've got to be joking, having a laugh!!! You can't be serious, you are indeed a sick puppy!!!!

One of the greatest players to don the red and blue. Hard to classify him as THE greatest as Lyon and Stynes are the only other great players i've seen, certainly one of the hardest working players in the history of the club.

Will be hard to watch him go.

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
