There's something familiar happening right at the top of the progressive leader board:-

49. Max Gawn

27. Jack Steele

25. Kysaiah Pickett

16. Jacob van Rooyen

11. Christian Salem

9. Bayley Fritsch Jake Lever Koltyn Tholstrup

8. Jai Culley Ed Langdon

7. Tom Sparrow

5. Trent Rivers

4. Brody Mihocek

1. Kade Chandler Harrison Petty

  1. Pickett

  1. Lever

  1. Gawn

  1. Sparrow

  1. Steele

  1. Chandler

Kozzie

Gawn

Steele

Windsor

Sparrow

Lever

I have much more faith in Demonlanders than the AFL (in so many things). The AFL report includes as the second-named player in our best as Mihocek. At least they had Kossie as first-named.

6 - Kozzie

Gawn

Steele, very nearly 2nd, his tackling was enormous.

Chandler

Lever

1 - Fritsch, hardest player to rate sometimes, when he was flat footed it killed me, when he kicked it he was a superstar.

Apologies Langdon and Sparrow

  • PREVIEW: Brisbnae

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

The Demons return to Melbourne and the hallowed turf of the MCG where they face dual reigning Premiers Brisbane on Sunday. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • REPORT: Essendon

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
