Dargo Hotel - MFC Connection?

Featured Replies

Article in the Guardian about the Dargo hotel which is for sale. An accompanying photo of the inside bar shows on one wall a framed Melbourne Football Club jumper. Is it significant? Who owned it? Does anyone know why it is there?

I was going to troll a bit and make up some nonsense like it might belong to the late Billy Green who played 2 games back in the late 60s and then went on to play for Orbost. But that would just be silly.

All I can add is that Google isn't the trove of all knowledge as all you get when you google "Melbourne Football Club Dargo" is pages full of links to stuff about Charlie Spargo.

Could it be our new training base? At least we’d have the social venue much-coveted by some around here; and we’d be close to the snow for the hoary old cliché-peddlers. No need to worry about prying eyes for closed sessions. Snake count might be a problem for some track watchers.

If the CEO got lost in Bright reckon he might struggle finding his car park in Dargo.

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.
