or even the next Lindsay, Langford, Windsor, Rivers, Kozzie, Turner, Petty, Van Rooyen, Chandler, Jackson

Petracca for GC pick 6 & 17

No. No. No.

with extra compo and allocated father son and academy priority, they drop to 11 and 25 most likely.

It’s either

Trac & pick 27 FOR Humphrey & pick 14

Or a bare minimum

Trac FOR 6 & 14 plus a player like Rogers.

Or

TRAC STAYS AT MFC

Trac is an elite player. Read his bio and 2025 performances.

Trac's 2025 season shaves off some bargaining power at the table. Not that it was bad by any stretch but GC are going to point to the film and say that he's lost a lot of his damage factor.

A top 5-10 player going into 2025, it's arguable that he would be top 50 currently and that's after playing every game. I want as much as possible out of this trade but will be tempering expectations.

You would hope the Norm Smith factors in but I can't see it being much. Will be 5 years on next year. I recall getting a Norm Smith medalist at around the same age for a 2nd and 3rd round pick.

Out of interest, why does it matter if 6 drops to 11 when it stays the 6th ''live'' pick ?

Any F/S or Academy player won't be available to clubs anyway.

His form continues to slide, he continues to baulk at contests, he continues to spin and dump his kicks, and kick more behinds than goals. And he might even turn his disapproving heart on his sleeve in his team mate's direction, literally, like May has in the past. His trade value drops even further when he inevitably asks for another trade in 12 month's time. Can't wait.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
