They spoke for quite some time and Bill didn’t look upset. In fact, he beamed and threw me one of these 🫶🏼 on his way back to the rooms. Love that kid.

Channel 7 already has enough photographers. Your next job is Team Mum. The club should create a paid position.

And I so advise.

I’d take the job in a heartbeat! They wouldn’t even have to pay me, except maybe chip in for some of the airfare for interstate matches.

This morning some of the players asked me if I’d be in Alice and/or said See you in Alice which made me sad coz I can’t go. They have a chartered flight there and Clarrie said I’m small enough to be squashed into the overhead compartment, then Sharpie said if he didn’t pack any belongings I could go in his backpack. I laughed… on the outside 😭

Another big thanks to Ghostwriter, Harvey Wallbanger, Kev Martin and all posters and special comments, a lot going on behind the scenes today with Vines not getting through the protocols. Good luck JV and good to see Bailey Laurie in the 23, good luck Bill and the whole team up at Traeger Park. My wife and I were up there in ‘22 when we won our last game and Kozzie put on a one man demolition kicking six goals against Power. We flew home on the plane with the Port team and supporters and changed planes in Adelaide, great trip, great win and great experience in the NT.👍😁

Why are we seemingly pushing Kozzy through into this week if he's in pain?

Surely it would be best to manage him this week and get him cherry ripe for KB?

Not only that, it usually doesn't pay off playing injured players assuming he IS carrying something this week.

I didn't see the incident, though after Kossie walked off towards the trainers with a bit of limp. He acted as though he did a jarring action through the leg when communicating to the staff.

He spent hardly anytime off the field, and didn't appeared hampered by the slight injury.

Big thanks to Ghostwriter and all the other track watchers

In the interests of all our sanity I don’t think we should ever mention Kozz hurting himself at training.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
