I took that as a tongue in cheek remark.   Of course she isn’t being asked to divulge any state secrets, and I wouldn’t expect her to.

Not tongue in cheek!

News flash it's not his call end of story Jesus the season has just started and people are worried about this [censored] sometimes this forum reads like the the Truth (those that know know).

What are you talking about it’s not his call. It is his call, with regard to what he does and doesn’t follow. I’m not talking about it not being his call to move to WA for family reasons.

He’s playing at Melbourne this year, he has signed a contract and if he wishes to move to WA at the end of the season, for whatever reason the club will deal with it and work for the best outcome.

In the meantime show some respect to the club and its supporters. I’m not worried if he goes, players move all the time and nobody is bigger then the club.

If West Coast offers us the best deal to bad that he wants to go to Freo.

It’s embarrassing for him as a player/team mate. Unless the group is privy to a standing joke where Kossie is playing games with the supporters in the west, you’re either all in for the year or you’re not, if you want to move  at the end of the season that’s fine but until then all chips in for our cause in 2025, with no distractions.

I'm in two minds - I think the players like to troll the media a bit and part of me thinks good on 'em

But as you say it's not a good look for the club and just encourages negative headlines which I wouldn't think are in the best interests of the club or Kozzie.

Ghostie @Ghostwriter revealed a highly classified state secret to me once. "We plan to kick more goals than behinds" was the whisper. Two years on, I wish someone had told the players.

Typo

It's not his call; he has a contract until the end of 2027, and that's the end of the story. We can hold it against him if the club wants to or make a deal; so be it. It's their call. As for saying to respect the club and supporters, stop being a drama queen. But then again...

PS a giggle session in a loving environment is fine by me 😁

Indeed. People that are professional get when to be serious and when to focus. But a bit of fun or frivolity can be useful some other times. Often people will work better if they enjoy their job and workplace and be likely not to leave as quickly. Surely every Dees fan wants the players playing better and not looking to leave. I don't understand the original comment.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
