It’s going to be a scorcher today but I’m in the shade at Gosch’s Paddock ready to bring you some observations from the final session before the Preseason Training Camp next week. 

Salem, Fritsch & Campbell are already on the track. Still no number on Campbell’s guernsey. 

The 2 new boys Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay are here.

Some early info…

It’s bloody hot already. It’s only 9am and Vines is running laps, he has to leave training early for a family function. The new boys will be here this morning but not participating in training per se. 

According to Goody we will “high likely”be picking up Ricky Mentha tonight 

As you know, Kat, despite being described as “… an athletic brute who imposes himself on the contest” Aidan’s nickname is Peaches. 

The new boys will be going to the Mansfield camp.

JT is looking pretty damn happy with himself… And so he should.

Viney was leaving the track as I arrived after running/sprinting on the boundary.

REHAB: Spargo, Campbell, Howes, Sestan

Fritsch and Salem were training separately but have now joined the main group. 

Langford is warming up with the main group. 

Lindsay is doing some drills/exercises with Spargo. Not sure if that is because he is in rehab or not. 

According to Ghostwriter, Harry Sharp is there, but Aidan “Peaches” Johnson isn’t. Probably has to clear things up with his job today.  

Who’s the bloke in the number 5 again?

JT said we’re definitely picking up Ricky Mentha, it’s not official yet until all the paperwork is done some time this arvo. This was always plan, ie. if he makes it through the draft, which he has, we’d get him as a cat. B rookie.

Lindsay is coming off a PCL so is probably a month or so off full training 👍🏼

Clarry has come off the track and taken his boot off and is applying something to what appears to be a blister. 

Lindsay and Spargo jogging slowly around the boundary now. 

Langford has a pinpoint pass.
