Seeing as he has now helped the Brisbane Lions win a Premiership as as an assistant coach, we should now look to pursue Cameron Bruce to return to the Melbourne Football Club.

Cameron Bruce has been at both the Hawks and Lions and been quite successful as an assistant coach. I think he has had almost 10 years of coaching experience now.

Cameron Bruce was an excellent player for the Melbourne Demons.

We could look to have him take over as our forward line or midfield coach with Nathan Bassett (who is possibly coming to the Melbourne Demons too).

Anyway, the more help we can give to Simon Goodwin to strengthen our coaching panel the better!

Was thinking the same.  He has done as excellent job as assistant at Hawks and Lions.  Thats why Fagan brought him to Brisbane.

I was very surprised when the Dees sent him packing off to the hawks as a player.
He was gutted at the time. Wanted two years but Dees only offered one year.  Hurt team morale as well https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/137593/dees-not-worried-about-bruce

Yes. But why would he? Their playing list is only going to improve next year. He’d be all in for back-to-back.

They may lose Daniher.

Nah, offer the world to Chris Fagan.

Guy is an absolute quality coach.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
