Windsor for mine, he has some real Robbie Flower about him.

Pace, skill and for a first year player, a real calmness about how he handles pressure and traffic.

Yes we need talls, and yes May is great but starting to slow down a little and we need Petty to replace him.

However, even if he went back into defence, I'm not confident about his confidence and fitness yet.

The game is getting faster, we need more fast outside players along with some talls.

Windsor is going to be an absolute gun and it's best we wrap him up now.

A stellar debut season.

And just for context, it took Tmac 2 entire seasons to find the form he’s currently in post a Lisfranc injury. Every man and his dog wanted him paid out and delisted. Now everyone hopes he stays on.

I think this is interesting, We know TMac has an extraordinary tenacity with his training and fitness, Not sure how Petty measures up in that regard but I'd dare say its not as fanatical as TMac

I have no idea, but Tmac is also significantly older than Petty, so you'd think Petty would bounce back quicker than Tmac.

He's had plenty of injury setbacks before and managed to get back. The reality is that Lisfranc is up there with the worst injury you can do in AFL. We know how tricky any foot injury can be, especially a Lisfranc and especially for a big man who needs power in their feet to launch at packs.

We've seen small glimpses from Petty this year, and we know he can take a mark, that is not really in question. Like Clarry I think he needs a really good injury free pre-season. He is only 24, so he's a good 2-3 years away from his peak anyway.

As I've said all along, at 'worse' he is a great replacement for May, at best he's a gun CHF. We literally cannot lose.

JVR, MCVee and Windsor are the must keep at all costs

It's funny how this shifts though, isn't it?

I would have said that about Clarry 12 months ago too, but now that's all up in the air.

And it's not black and white. I know @Engorged Onion was being facetious with the OP, but both are great re-signings.

@Binmans PA Ahhhh, I just wanted to open up a meaningful conversation on it, rather than the slagging off of Petty that occurs in some other threads…
