I'd love to see the Venn diagram of those who complained that Brown was selected last week vs those complaining about him being dropped this week.

And the whole Venn pair could be enclosed within a larger circle of those who think our only living Premiership coach hasn't a clue.

(I am not sure if the larger circle is a part of the classical Venn arrangement - I would have to consult the world's self proclaimed leading expert on Venn diagrams, VPOTUS, Cackling Kamala)

I laughed at this because it’s hella funny. But it’s also sad because there’s folks on here who’d actually believe Goody has this attitude.

No there's not

This is not the clever insult you think it is.

I questioned whether Kynan's form warranted a call up for exactly this reason - I didn't want him in and out like a yo-yo as it makes his selection look token. I complained last week that AMW was more deserving.

Well?? Where do we stand now?

The same as ever this year, !!! Some unbelievably nonsensical and mindboggling selections based on the theory of being caught in a temporal nexus of incaluable reasoning based on the eye of Horus!!! However AMW Is deserving and Kynan now will NEVER lay a tackle, coz sheeeit a footy act like this costs his place in the side! Hnmm

I’m in favour of the push for our young players to be given time on the big stage this season, and I’m sure they are too.

And they must all realise that entails not having any expectations when it comes to selection, even after a solid showing. There are only so many chairs at the table.

While some here are expressing disappointment on behalf of Pup, I’d guess he’s somewhere else feeling pretty chuffed about how things are going so far.

A bit weird that Brown jnr got dropped but lots on here seem to assume that because things are a surprise to us on a Thursday night that the players are as mystified as we are, I don’t think that's the case.

Lever back helps us, interesting to see us go tall and that’s probably what cost Brown, couldn’t fit AMW in without dropping a small and it was LIFO.

Can’t see us winning, lions by 30 unless we find a way to kick 85+ which has been pretty rare.

Brisbane average 10 (!) more inside 50s a game than us.

At a 46% conversion that's approx 4 goals which is about the difference purely on a averages front.

We absolutely need to force and win the stoppage clearance as much as possible and slow their entries forward. Force their shots to the pockets.

If we have any chance at all then Pickett, Petty and Fritsch need to kick at least 6 goals between them. Assuming the likes of Rivers, Gawn, JVR, Chandler, ANB, Sparrow and Viney can each hit the scoreboard at some point.

If we can kick 12+ goals against keep them to <40% inside-50 conversion we win. We can beat this mob.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
