Ma-lady. *tips hat*

The umpiring in the game is putrid. If the Dragons defenders touch a player in the defensive 50 it is an automatic free kick.

Don't mind the look of Andrews.

just looked at the play hq and all it shows tairon ah-mu with a goal in q1 as the stingrays tear the power apart

Did you notice who had two goals in the first quarter? My mate Hynes. 😘

Wouldn’t want to get pinned by an Ah-Mu tackle…

Got a decent game here. Tauru looking really, really good overhead.

Good goal from Ah-Mu. 3 for him now and 3 for Hynes.

app has ah-mu as the leading goalkicker with 3 for stingrays in a 6 point win, and hynes 2 goals 2

langford another dominant game i presume, judging from the stats?

I couldn't watch it today. Can you both give a quick run down how the NGA players went?

Interesting. I missed the first quarter where it said Hynes had 2. He then kicked the first goal of the last quarter. Since I didn't see the first quarter, I can't confirm.

Riak did quite well 1v1, his defensive positioning is still a little rusty, but he's clean at ground level and a neat kick. He was solid.

Ah-Mu is just a big boy, but I like his tackling intent, he's a good mark and he's a good kick. Kicked a ripper that ended up being the winning goal. I do worry about his pace at AFL level, but maybe he's not much slower than a McLean from Sydney.

The way he judges the ball in the air and leaps is pretty rare for a young tall.

Yeah I did say a while back Ah-Mu would need to strip a lot of puppy fat once he gets into the AFL system.

Thanks for the update mate.

Duursma was best on ground for mine. By quite a way.

Couldn’t add much more to what Adam’s said, but Mentha was pretty quiet and one of our other future NGA kids, Prasad kicked a goal for Dandy but was quiet outside of that.

Riak matched up on Tauru for a lot of the 2nd half (including ruck contests inside Gippsland 50), and it was a fun watch. At times they were playing kick to kick with each other though (I’ll blame the wind).

He should go high next year.

Mentha copped a knee injury in the first quarter and pretty sure didn't return to the game after that unless I'm mistaken.

Ah, I didn't realise he was an underager, but that makes sense given there's no talk about him in the 2024 crop. Derps. 🤦

Moves a lot like his bro last year. Classy, clean, makes good decisions. Surely will be top 10 next year, unless it's the greatest class of all time or something happens injury wise.

@ChaserJ is there a website or resource that shows who is part of our NGA? I haven't been able to find anything doing a search online.

Sorry mate, haven’t been able to find anything that’s centralised that info either.

Damn, must have happened before I rocked up.

ACL bad or more of a knock?

Slowly hobbled off without assistance but escorted by a trainer nearby. Didn't see the incident itself unfortunately so not sure on what mechanism caused it. Near the end of the first quarter from memory if it's available on replay. From the way he was walking I would be surprised if it's serious but stranger innocuous things have happened.

Mentha play half back?

The flying Viking?

Could you imagine a Dees v Hawks game - a crowd full of Viking and Wizard hats!

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
