He certainly doesn't like to take the tackle, he dishes off well, but as quickly as he can. That's why he's more Kelly than Trac or Clarry.

Looks like he'll be a good player, but not my sort of player.

Looks like Marc Murphy to me. Quick neat player, but lacks the power of top line midfielders.

Very left foot centric as well. Needs to develop a right foot pretty quickly

For the McKercher fans

Speedy...didnt see him use the right foot....seemed to handball going left....may be predictable for defence...if you can catch him!

Mistake

He’s going to be a star.  He has shown all the class, skill, decision making and running ability to matchup in any midfield position.   I think he’s a lock to go to the Kangas or if he slips pass them, the Hawks would be crazy not to pick him.

The thing with guys like McKercher is his one wood is his kicking skills, it's tricky to predict how that'll go in the AFL with much higher pressure and a game played a lot faster where you don't get time and space

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
