Great work with the Podcasts, gents.

2 points....

1.  You said about 70 people listen live. Do you know how many listen later,  to the podcasts?   I would think many more. Apart from the pre-GF show last season, I never listen live, but never miss the podcast. I admire your insight into tactics etc very much, but , like Andy, I suffer severely from chronic, metastatic, MFCSS.

2. I can hear Andy clearly, but  the other two are much quieter, and when listening to the podcast while out running, I have trouble hearing them, even at full volume. I can hear callers who ring in easily, but "Binman" in particular, is very quiet.

Thanks for your kind words and feedback about the podcast. I regards to your first point it is impossible to tell how many listeners exactly for a number of reasons. The website stats tell you how many times the file has been downloaded (could have been automatically downloaded) and how many times a partial download has been access (perhaps a stream of from a podcast app) but it doesn't tell you if that person listened or for how long (may have been a few seconds, minutes or an hour) so it's really impossible to tell exactly.

The live listeners is more accurate and that varies from week to week. Some weeks it's 30 or 40 but that is with people coming and going. Lately it has been between 50 and 70.

As to the volume. I haven't experienced what you are experiencing. I can hear all of us well especially when it's up on full with earphones in.

Do you listen to the podcast live or later? I normally listen on my phone using Spotify later, Monday or Tuesday at work, I listen through Bluetooth earphones and I can hear all the voices clearly. If you listen live, maybe try listening to the download on Spotify, if you have it, and see if you still have an issue hearing? 😊

No. Just no.

You obviously didn’t watch last weeks vfl.

That was like a final for him (2nd last chance to show form and get picked for finals), and he delivered 6 possessions, 2 points, 2 marks. Completely mentally shot unfortunately and sadly.

Thanks you are correct I didn't.

I thought my sarcasm was fairly obvious though.

Everyone says he's a good bloke so it's a pity he's not an AFL standard footballer.

But then neither am I .

Good pod fellas! Look forward to the preview for the Swans game.

We are heavy favourites with those that put money on footy. Always a good sign that guarantees nothing.

Sydney is a really good team that will have their moments but they can be beaten up around the ball and if we can extract cleanly we will beat them well.

I love our scrappy, fighting forward line. Underdogs with plenty of talent and now a bit of stubborn fight to it. Really fun. It is our weakness but you watch that weakness kick 15 goals next week.

  • POSTGAME: Western Bulldogs

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.
