What does that even mean? ‘Support for same day travel and 4 day breaks’?

Does it mean there will be better support around those concepts for the teams involved, so as not to have garbage/unequal games like we saw this year? I surely hope so.

Probably means that Eddie stated his support for all teams that play Collingwood to be coming off a 4 day break, and those teams have to fly that same day before the game, regardless of where they come from.

Assuming we go back to playing in our home states, same day travel and 4 day breaks are really going to hurt the interstate clubs that travel every second week.

Probably evens up the ledger from this year where they had the advantage on Vic teams.

I'd settle for 22 Std 20min (plus time on) per quarter games made up of

  • 12 x 2:10 pm Saturday afternoons games at the G
  • 1 x 2:10 pm Monday Queens Birthday at the G
  • 1 x 7:10 pm Thursday ANZAC Eve Game at the G
  • 2 x Friday night games
  • 2 x Sat night games
  • 4 x whatever whenever

Like in the good Old Days...

Not going to happen No team wants a Sat pm fixture each week What's normal from the old days Sat arvo??? Only

Twilight  Sat And Sunday 6 pm are spots needed to be filled

Gree with the two blockbusters but I would like 2 Thursday games as well and 2 extra Sat nigh or more Sun arvo 3.20 games for Free to Air blockbusters at G or interstate that our sponsors deserve esp if we are winning and in the 8.

Consistent umpiring

Paying holding the ball against players like Danger and Martin when they actually get caught after trying to evade or push off opponents. (Ffs- two sets of rules)

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
