Agree, but repeat it over 4 quarters is what I mean.  Like a Cyril, have 3-4 repeat efforts a quarter. Some to no avail.   Couple more hard working pre-seasons and look out.

Who knows he could also bulk up and be like his uncle Byron ???

He's eighteen years old, man.

Not a supporters butthole

QB that bit of a mess of a summary Sorry  watch the replay especially the last quarter,

Spargo 2 goals and ran hard to present did what we expect  him to do every week. Not the usual you indicated.
Smith yes better than Oscar fir ONE Isolated game But he concentrated well on opponents.

Tommo minded Cameron and beat him easily on night give credit please

Fritsch Played negative role on Haynes and agsin shared honours or won on night as no real intercept marks!

Agree with Melky wasn't great on Kelly and ANB AVB and Hunt were our weak links.

Brown did some valuable link up moves but  Weid was just not sighted.

Salem was fantastic and ran as hard as I have seen him and got the rewards!

Maxy held sway and best Mummy also quelled Him in the physical stuff on the ball and his fitness enabled him to prevail all day Great Captains  game without Great stats But set a great example What to do  about his field kicking ??

Goody Second really good day in box Following Saints  game And his moves as above called got us over the line. More if this style Simon and all is not lost yet In your career at  Demonland.

Also showed human side in a welcome Way after the final side another plus.loved his care fir Nev before and after the siren.

Our young players made  great difference tonight ie Kossie Riv Spargs Oscar Baker and Smithy. That effort and contribution each week to back up the stars means so much And was priceless on Sat night.

Very creative content, members!

This thread would be even better if someone were to compile a final list for each game from the excellent contributions of members.

Seeing Joe Boy started it, maybe he'd consider being editor for a final list? If not Joe Boy, is anyone else interested?

No...this is 'joeboy's' domain.

We are only guests, we get the right of reply but he has the final say.

I may not agree with all he says but it's still my first stop off after every game.

His is the final list.

Look forward to it every week.

Keep up the good work '@joeboy'

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by β€œthey” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?
