What happens in a GF if the last play is that; but Frost rips of his shirt and holds it in his hands.  Petrucelle keeps running bare-chested the goal, putting them 3 points in front.

How much time left on the clock TGR?  Might be so stunned after the rag dolling he veers left at the last second kicking it through the wrong side of the posts and we win by 2 points!

I like Frost and when May/Lever are both fit there's no doubt in my mind he gets the leftover spot in defence. But at their best May and Lever have him covered by a country mile.

Agree.

75% of demonlanders want to delist the wrong players and seem to have a footy brain like Goodwin.

not a peep out of anyone on this board about fritsch playing defence when he was clearly a fwd. that decision alone probably cost us 3 games.

People also wanting to delist weideman is nuts. sure, he's had a bad year. but so has the entire team. he hasnt even been trialed as a backman yet which I think he would be good at and send May forward.

Literally Goodwin is the most boring coach in football.  his press conferences are a sure cure for sleep apnea.

There is a lot to like about what you have said, Doc.

You got this one wrong doc. There were plenty on here questioning this very early in the season, particularly after Anzac Eve.

Hard to disagree otherwise.

No Contract news?

I really hope Frosty plays forward this week v the Roos. Last week in the final qtr was the first time I saw a defence we played panic due to his pressure.

We haven't had many wins this year, unleashing Frosty as a pressure forward/tall could be a weapon moving forward.

Would love to see Frosty take another step in his development

There's not many others in the comp in the same position as Frost - out of contract, still in their mid 20s and have played nearly every game. However nearly all those others are being talked about as trade targets (Jake Kelly; Tippa; Francis; Langdon; Kelly; Martin; Tomlinson; Amon; Ellis etc.)

Why is Frost not getting any attention from anywhere else???

He has improved a lot this year, but if he was traded I wouldn't be surprised as well. He can do things not many others can in the comp, his speed and athleticism are nearly second to none. It's his footy IQ that lets him down so badly, I get the impression other teams are now happy when the ball goes near him, because he'll either hand them a goal or turn it over if he does win the ball. I also don't think May and Lever like having him in the team, in the Collingwood game May was constantly trying to get across and cover Frost as well, then Frost tunneled him leading to a goal.

I get the impression that if we do re-sign him it'll come after the close of the trade period, not before, and that he could be used as a add-on to any deals we are trying to do.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
