Seems worth having a thread about him. He's an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season and we're apparently interested.

Would turn 30 during next season and his injury history is well known. Speaking of which, what are the chances Burgess would get an opportunity to assess these kind of things?

Pending the Burgess approval, I would be keen as he costs us nothing, can potentially help us lure his brother and IMO would just replace Lewis' spot on the list as a mature player who may play some VFL.

More info below:

STEPHEN HILL

Status: Contracted until the end of 2019

State of play: Stephen Hill was one of the premier wingmen in the AFL only a few years ago, but injuries have limited him to just 16 games across the past two seasons — including just three in 2019. Some believe that he will move to where his brother Bradley plays next season. It might seem unusual that a club would take two wingmen at the same time, but some clubs — like Melbourne — need two genuine wingmen right now. Gold Coast has been linked to Hill before and could try to lure him across the country again.

Likely scenario: A fresh start appears to be the best thing for Hill moving forward, especially if a club like Gold Coast dangles some long term security in front of the 29-year-old.

Gold coast have the most interest and connection so far. We've been mentioned because of the link to his brother but I'd prefer Langdon than SHill

Yep, absolutely the same here. No reason we couldn't get all 3 though? Would transform our midfield.

I'm not super keen, but should Burgess get a look at him and think he can be fit too contribute then he would improve our depth.

I'd definitely be keen on S. Hill.  He's an outstanding ball user, is still quicker than most on our list and we'd get him for nothing.  Assuming this year was an aberration, he and his brother are potentially the difference from finalist to serious contender.  Langdon is quickish but not a great user.  I'd have the Hill's before him.

They’re not bad players swooper but they’re not the difference between finalists to serious contenders. The brothers Hill are being seriously overrated by a few on here.

He's off the table (if he was ever on it).

FREMANTLE speedster Stephen Hill has signed a two-year contract with the club, locking him in until the end of 2021.

Hill and brother Bradley have both been the subject of trade discussions in recent times, but after a turbulent two weeks at the club – which saw coach Ross Lyon and CEO Steve Rosich sacked – the 29-year-old has recommitted.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
