OUT: Viney (No need to risk him) Lewis (Thanks for your service) Petty (Injury)

IN: Weid, Baker (Much needed run) , JKH (Although not part of our future, VFL Form warrants selection.)

As what you think will happen or what you want to happen?

No way Lewis is getting dropped.

In: running players

Pit: inside mids/utilities

Baker must come in though perhaps Goody thinks we need more inside grunt.

Gawn is a better forward than Smith and Preuss.

Preuss will dominate the ruck easily. You don't need a mobile ruckman every week. Just ask Richmond and Essendon who are doing fine with a lesser ruckman.

Weideman perhaps but he hasn't shown anything much

generally Id concur..... but  getting/marking ball seems a very different thing from Kicking said ball

If someone could show Maxy how the drop of the ball SHOULD go  then Im all for this

The stats don't tell the story. Lockhart shut Ryan and Cameron out of the game.  Has been quietly going about his business as a lockdown player with excellent results.  Stays in for mine.

I hope we play May forward. We know he is a gun defender but let's see if he can be the solution in our forward line along side TMac for next year. Our backline has enough depth with Frost, Lever, Jetta, Hibberd, Salem, Hore, Jones, OMac and Petty.

I also would like Lever to play on the second best key forward rather than be given the easy task.

It is pretty clear that Preuss is a ruckman and not a forward, so I think he needs to be dropped.

Want to Happen.

With the season being a complete write off, I don't see any value having Lewis play.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
