Joel Smith looks like an absolute beast .

I can see him in a role similar to an Elliot Yeo when he plays on a wing and drifts forward and back.

Looks like he is building a strong fitness base to perform strong role for us next season.

I spent a night researching what makes you throw up in extreme exertion. It's a critical overload of acidic carbon dioxide in your stomach which you don't expel under exertion because you breath too fast and shallow to expel it all. The acid builds up in your stomach until it reaches a critical point and you have to throw up to get rid of it.

I started breathing very deeply on major hill climbs. In order to do it I had to gulp air like a goldfish. Didn't look pretty but I've never thrown up again. I eventually adjusted to breath deeply without looking and feeling like a goldfish.

If you watch Nibbler when he gut runs he is a great proponent of the technique.

Now that you mention that I have seen him doing that. Would love to find out from him if that's actually what he's doing. Another question for Saty to ask.

Trac's not going anywhere and can't be compared to the other 2 mentioned.

I know you don't see it but he has improved each season.

No, your wrong RJ.  I have witnessed his improvement in his play.

But NOT in his attitude to become Elite.   Nor his efforts for a superior fitness, and the attitude to becoming a dominant AFL player are missing from his AFL vocabulary.

For his talents, he's a plodder.  He should be further advanced than what he has dished up.

Its this amateur attitude, instead of being fully Pro-Minded, which sees him being a complacent AFL player...  resting only on his birth talents, and not on his drive of determination. A huge difference.

...  this is what I am taking aim squarely at.

This is what made Yze not a household name... Green not a household name... robbo not a household name.

All rested only on natural gifts, without the levels of commitment and dedication required to got beyond the levels so easily achieved by those few names_

They all underachieved, betraying their natural abilities... and we (Mfc) missed out on flags,  for that near enough culture of the time.

Sounds like we are in good nick early which is very pleasing. Can’t wait to see what 2019 holds for us.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
