We haven't come so far yet as to not need this man next year.  One more, final serviceable year please.

On another random note and I would appreciate if a fellow d-lander could clear this up for me:  Freo today reported as offering no. 11 pick and future second rounder for Hogan.  Sam Maclure reports this is about to fall thru.

I thought we were seeking Freo and Brisbanes 5 and 6 picks with all that Lachie Neale hoo haa thrown in.  Anyway, if the deal falls through and he stays next year in the final year of his contract is he then able to leave if he so wishes and we receive nothing?

So, 5/6 sounds fair for a talent like him at 23 years of age or whatever he is.  But Freo by saying 11 and future second rounder don't value him as much as we (which is always the norm when trading important players) .   so my questions:  Might Hogan say F.U. Freo? If deal falls thru is it likely we stitch him up for another couple?  Have Freo been advised his foots not right and thus backing off on a picks 5/6 trade?  Or is this just normal hardball negotiation where the two sides will meet in the middle?

I don't know wtf I am asking?  Can someone please just tell me his foot is alright, he will sign for us another 2-3 years and be the superstar that we have hoped for?  Or could someone please tell me that we will get two picks in the top 10.  Someone tell me something that gives me hope.  Please.  If you don't mind and have the time.

Had a reasonable year without starring, age is catching up with him and he will struggle to stay in the side if the West Coast game is anything to go by.

I think you would be best to take this to the highly speculative Jesse Hogan thread. There are no shortages of opinion there for what is really going on with Jesse

Father time has Lewis in his sights. I hope Lewey gets through next year without any injuries or form issues and can bow out of league footy with his legacy intact.

Has been very handy, and am thankful his experience  has rubbed off on our next generation of players.

Good year filling in for Lever. Don’t know what role he will have next year, but his kicking is still in our top few which is eye opening but also a testament to the bloke’s longevity.

Stated he's definitely playing on.  Will be a fascinating story in 2019.

He was both good and horrible at times in 2018, with a fair bit more good than horrible.  Suspect the ratio is swinging.
