Demonland Thanks for Season 2017

Thankyou to everyone who has given me more insight into how the fans see the club, its good chatting with you all

And I appreciate all those who have liked my personal input this year, its been great!

Top effort to all involved. I'm on here a fair bit to read mostly, but I like to post some gibberish every now and again. It's a great site and well done to the people that keep it running.

I will subscribe one day ( Melbourne make finals) I promise.

Thanks D'landers.

Thank you to everyone who makes this forum happen. It looks like a hell of a lot of effort!

Prior to joining (only very recently, as my post number suggests), I was an occasional lurker...

I joined because I was broken after the end of our 2017 season, and was looking for other broken souls to help ease the pain (weird, right?), but instead, I found other likeminded, spirited Dees with interesting and thoughtful banter (not to mention another way to spend time that should instead be devoted to work/chores/filing tax returns). I mean, look at that JW thread! One day, it's going to need to be printed with a table of contents for ease of reference!

Looking forward to more of this as time goes by, but hopefully we'll next be talking about how we went from 9 to Premiers in 2018! (then 5 more for good measure, to make up for the lost years).

A great community to be part of.

Being a long way from home, it’s great to come on here and feel a little bit closer to it.

If you think the JW thread needs a table of contents, the "No TS no BS" thread (is that what it's called? someone will correct me) will need some professional indexing and will be published in monthly editions. It will be one of those con jobs like at the newsagents. $1.95 for the first month to get you in and $55.95 a month after that.

Think I'll microwave my Demonland membership if Jack Watts goes !

Thanks for 2017 and Merry Christmas to you all

I'm going to put mine on and ants nest and melt it/them with a magnifying glass.

Kudos to one and all for Demonland, it keeps the voices in my head under control.

Thanks for your input Dnkn, it's been great to have input from someone close to a player on the list.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
