Yeah its a dangerous ploy, but i still like it. At the end of the day you have to bet on something.

Ive ended up taking Addictive Nature/F/F and Global Glamour/F/F @ Rosehill. R7.

Good luck Wadda. I've got Ace High/Addictive Nature for first and second, field for third in the tri.

Great. Whats your final Tri combo Macca....? If Ace wins, it will be the first High Chaparral to win over 1200. Would be awesome.

Should be a good race Wadda, a first time for everything.

My sis visiting with her kids saved me a trip to Casey. I can enjoy the rest of the days racing.

Addictive Nature held up at a vital stage and Ace High finished off well I thought behind the speedsters.

Thats what sisters are for. Ace High would have brained them if there was another 100m.

Yeah as soon as Ace High was at the tail of the field you knew it probably couldn't win - 'needed the run' by the looks of it.  Global Glamour was run out of a place anyway so I was way off with that trifecta.

Cashed out on 1 of my 2 live multi's (Eurack,  Bedford & Bye See) but it could be an even better day if 'Don't Give A Damn' salutes.

Thanks for the heads up on 'Eurack' & 'Bye See' fellas ... reinforcing a 'best bet' seems to be a good addition to our system.

Nice work Macca, cheering for 'Don't Give A Damn'. My last leg is 'Dainty Tess'.

Im also on Dont give a Damn last leg all up.

@Wadda We Sing  ... yeah dipped out on the Tri in the Expressway.  Got one going at Ascot in the Scenic Blast Stakes (7pm)  and another in the Centenary Vase at Sha Tin tomorrow (5pm)

It's always nice to have a 'saver' but I can see these 3 race multi's/Parlay's being reasonably profitable.  You prefer the 3 race parlay's from memory.  I got one today so it's been a decent day.  And it isn't over yet!

Don't Give A Damn is into 2.40

All the way win, I thought it was paddling there for a while but nothing was gaining ground.

Dainty Tess is needed to salute for my parlay and i also have no.2,4/2,4/F in a tri in the Scenic.

Well both @Demon77 and myself like Dainty Tess to win (best of luck with that multi D77) but I also like 'Volkoff' at odds to feature.  You could work a Tri from that Wadda but don't forget to include 'Caipirinha' ...  Ascot Race 6

Yeah I've had a decent day - hopefully you and Wadda can both win late.   Don't Give A Damn could now well be set for the Doncaster Hcp ($3Million)  ... it kicked away in impressive fashion at the top of the straight.

Lol, It's a small tri, Macca mentioned it in an earlier post and he's been very close to the mark with horses at double figure odds.. Just looking for some value in the top 2.

Cheers Macca, I could have collected already if I'd thrown Bye See in instead of Dainty Tess. I went with Eurack, Don't Give A Damn, Dainty Tess combo.

Either way, it hasn't been too expensive and it's great that some of us have profited out of this.

Oh i wasnt being cynical, i love to find horses like that.....i just didnt see the earlier discussion so i wasnt sure.

I went with 2. Dainty Tess with W Pyke on board.  places 1,4,5,7,8/1,3,4,5,7,8

Thats a good combination. So did you put that on as a multi over the different tracks i guess. So those bets are $5 min...? Its a good way to bet in that case, i have done this also last Spring, so ill have a look at that next time.

All good Wadda, I've had a couple of drinks and the question sounded funny to me(in a good way), didn't mean to sound abrupt.

Race is on soon, good luck with your tri. Yeah i placed the bet at the Tab just before you nominated Bedford as your best, could have cleaned up today.

Yes the min bet is $5 at the Tab.

With multi's at the TAB we haven't got the option of 'Each-Way' so you have to painstakingly put separate bets on - or,  ring them and ask them to put all the configurations on.

I've arrived at doing it a different way - I'm banking on getting 2 from 3 winners or 3 from 4 winners so will do a series of separate bets for the win only.

e.g.  we arrive at 3 best bets over the course of the week.  I will then put all 3 on for the win in a multi and any 2 of the 3 for the win only as well (a double)

If we end up with 4 picks or if I want to add another to the 3 I will repeat the same process but have 'saver' bets on 3 of the 4.

In a nutshell we identified 6 best bets today (in a roundabout way)  ... Eurack (W)  Snitty Kitty (2nd) Bedford (W) Bye See (W) Don't Give A Damn (W) and Dainty Tess (yet to run)  All 6 were 'reinforced by at least one of us other than the person who originally identified the best bet.

I'm not going to count 'From Within' in the 1st at Rosehill as I thought it was only each way value.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?
