The NTAFL always had two seasons form per Christmas and post Christmas form, very humid pre xmas and very hot, post Christmas very wet, many players dropped off after xmas. I once played a game where the rain was so hard you could not see 5 meters in front of you.

What's the money like for ex AFL players? A bloke I know is playing a few games for Nightcliffe by invitation (flying in and out). The arrangement seems pretty casual. He said that the intensity levels of the games are pretty low, which probably explains why a lot of ex-AFL players go up there to have a kick.

Im heading up there after Chrissy for a kick myself.

depends if a player can pull more to their teams home games, maybe 5000 a game, but I don't really know one thing though if you play footy in Darwin you pull in the chicks, it is an attacking brand lots of end to end footy. St marys won 16 flags in the 80's and 90's, they used to fly in players from tiwi land and the Rioli's all played for them which was one of the reasons they where so powerfull. Mark Jackson played for waratahs one season, Allen jackvich kicked 16 goals in one game for waratahs.
