Without trying to hijack the thread, I note that the Age has become an almighty wankfest.

It always was an almighty wankfest, but that didn't stop it being the best newspaper in this city, and probably in the country, for a long time.

Sad to its decline.

Another unexpected source of some very good writing, for me, was Peter Schwabb.

Strange - there hasn't really been much quality writing about our game. Bob Murphy the current highlight for me.
