My golf club friend told me tonight that the only big fish we really had a crack at was danger otherwise we viewed the talent in early draft as worth taking. Said the kennedy rumour was total bs.

runs on the board was posting about the delay in hogan resigning his extension offer but not much else unfortunately.

St Kilda have shown some interest in Brayshaw apparently, undecided on their choice for pick 1.

Would be unwise for us to make it clear we think Brayshaw is the better prospect of the two, if that's the case.

I doubt it. They will take Petracca or maybe McCartin, in the end it doesn't matter we will get a couple of good players.

We should mindfuck them to death about whose the best prospect so under the pressure they end up taking a safe skinny school boy who doesnt like a contest...

GNF was blindsided by Clark & Trenners

So was everyone. If we had landed P12 i think a lot more trades would have been done.

We just have to nail those 2-3 picks.

It is critical.

What a load of balls.

Clark did nothing to stop us trading well - all we needed to do was pack him off and it would have taken virtually no headspace for the entire two weeks.

If people seriously think that when Trengove failed a medical the MFC staff were all there scratching their bums with no idea what else to do you are kidding yourselves. So no team around pick 12 would take any player on our list for their pick? Absolute bollocks - of course we would have made something happen if, say, Adelaide, wanted 2 and a pick around that point for Dangerfield.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
