I think the MRP have been very consistent in recent times. They've basically taken the view that nobody will miss a final, especially a "name" player from a "name" club, irrespective of any precedents that have been set during the H&A season.

This has been happening for years. Important players always receive leniancy during finals. Easy to go tough in the GF with double penalties when no one cares anymore.
