Rohan Bail - 50 games

Featured Replies

Is he being needlessly dismissive?

Neither is he. He simply opined on the value of your posts when you are needlessly dismissive.

Fine then we agree

We can all give an opinion even if we don't like it.

Well done Rohan. 50 more games at the highest level than the vast majority of us will or have ever played.

Col Sylvia, Travis Johnston etc. were highly skilled and best 22 but I'd have Rohan Bail with those stats from todays paper over either of them or any any other highly skilled lazy arsed pretenders every day of the week. His skills are improving on quite a rapid incline and he gives 100%, 100% of the time.

Let me repeat:

Well done Rohan. 52 games at the highest level.....

His alright but when he was darfted beams was available.

Be very careful, angrydemons, if you ever ride a bike or a horse.

Apologies if this has been posted already, but an interesting piece on the AFL site has Bail as the Demons' king of pressure:

"Bail fills a very specific role for Melbourne. The Demons love his pressure and his ability to cause turnovers, highlighted by the fact he heads the list of pressure acts (159) at the club. Daniel Cross' determination is a given and his club-leading tackle count of 50 should come as little surprise. Bail is second on that table with 47 for the year, bumped up by the 10 he laid against Carlton in his club's first win of the year in round four. That day, the Demons out-tackled the Blues 84-65 and Bail was clearly among his side's best."

Could be that in our new team of role-players, a specific one has been allocated to Bail.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.
