32,847 Members this year - 2014?

How does Peter Jackson convince the membership that our list is is worth defending?

How does Peter Jackson make money for the football club in 2014 and beyond if people will not go to watch the same old garbage.

These are very legitimate questions or those who do not want to bury their heads under beach sand.

That is a pathetic number but not unexpected. Next year will be lucky to be 30000 - it all depends on who is the coach. Someone like Laidley would do nothing to attract members. Problem is - why would anyone want to coach us?

Crowd at Etihad Stadium today - 16,959.

Crowd at Metricon Stadium today - 19,460.

MFC supporters hate Etihad, that's for sure.

Give me one reason why I should ever go to watch this club play at Etihad

I fixed your sentence.

Luv ya work. Actually I used to go and watch at Etihad until this year. It is simply not worth the grief

To be honest, I got to every MCG game I can. I'd go to Etihad if I thought we were half a chance of winning there, which won't be likely for a few years at least.

I don't care where we play I'll watch if I think it's worth my time. If this game was at the G today I still wouldn't have gone.

This list is a death sentence for any coach

Apart from the new kids on the block, all the rest are just very unaccountable to themselves, to the club and the supporter base. I find it very very hard to see how this list can climb out of the bottom 4 until we have turned over another 15 odd players.

The players are to blame for this performance but they keep serving it up too often. Cannot defend this mob anymore.

This is why PJ is going so hard at an unenthusiastic Roos.

We will have no members or sponsors if we don't get a respected coach with a proper vision.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
