Just recruit ball magnets who attack the footy

Featured Replies

recruit in the draft someone who plays like Viney.

than either trade a player for a pick or pickup a mature aged player from another team who plays like viney.

i'd be willing to give up Sylvia for one of them. (and Sylvia is one of my favourite players)

Ahhh got ya! Sorry enjoying a few beers so was a little slow on the up take. Thanks for clarifying, and I do agree

I understand your frustration but he is clearly playing injured, a stress fracture is something that could potentially be uncomfortable for a long time and I would say it is having an impact but he still is getting over 20 touches a game and had 5 tackles so he is justifying his place at this stage, to say he isn't good enough is making a judgement without a lot of information to really know what's going on with the young man.

Trenners must put in a good 2014. He cannot continue into next year with the same form it just won't cut it with the faithful.

Bloody Neeld has a lot to answer for.

i think Neeld was horrible for Trengove..

but it can be brought to good use.

especially when he starts attacking again

Said this since 2005 - the game may change however you need ball winners to even hope to compete

.......reallllly? Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I had no idea

If we get a mid/late PP we should be targeting both Sheed & Dunstan in this draft. Different types of players but both are hard at the contest & rack up possessions.

As for Trengove, strip everything back get rid of the bloody captaincy & concentrate on putting in the biggest preseason he's ever done.

Spot on. I haven't seen too much of Sheed but well aware of Gunstan and couldn't agree more. Make N Jones captain, perhaps Dawes as vice.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
