Parking at AAMI park

Featured Replies

Need some advice coming to Melbourne mid January want to go to watch training where is the best place to park.

Thanks Gary

Gary,

Do yourself a favour and park your car at a railway station that's handy and catch a train to Richmond Station. It's just a brief walk to AAMI Park from there and your blood pressure will stay at reasonable levels which is a much better idea than trying to "pork yore caw"* anywhere near the place.

There is a carpark next to the railway at the end of Swan Street and also a railway carpark in a side street to Swan Street (freeway side) which if it is early in January you might still be able to park there. Otherwise park the car closer to Burnley Street and catch the tram up Swan Street. There is also the Coles parking area behind Swan Street and then walk (10min) up to training.

I now expect an in depth report!!!!

Thanks for help staying in oakliegh so sounds like train might be the way to go Gary just my luck they will all be closed sessions or at casey

I've always taken a calculated risk & parked in one of the 2 loading zone bays nearest swan st on the opposite side of the stadium.

Often empty & not patrolled by normal parking inspectors, as it is part of the stadium and the stadium security guards only come and check vehicles if it's been reported that you've parked in someone else's designated spot.

I probably shouldn't give up secrets like this, but I rarely manage to get to training these days.

I wasn't aware that there was such a thing as a "normal parking inspector"!

It's mid January.

The Tennis starts on the 14th, why would you bother.

Thanks BB.

The family is planning something for the weekend.

Looking forward to the feast.

I always park near the corner of Alexandra Ave & Anderson Street - a short walk to Goschs Park
