Reported by the AFL's website, Hansen's manager suggests he is not happy with Norths offerings.

I checked his stats, he's a big guy - like 197 cm, and 95kg or so.

Played some good footy later in the year, 24 yoa.

Thoughts? perhaps it could play out better than chasing Dawes?

Wouldn't pay a first rounder for him. 2nd rounder I would

I think your right, he hasn't made a name for himself as yet.

I think you could get away with a second round pick for him.

yeah started playing quite well in the forward line for a period there, is tall, athletic, can take a mark i think there is a little question over his kicking ability tho?

WE don't have a second rounder.

We picked up some Kid named Viney.

3rd rounder would be more like it.

We will definitely pick up a tall- we will have to work out what is the better deal...I think we will get Pedersen and one other..it also depends on whether Rivers stays.

Very hot and cold, I'm not a fan.

We need another big body like Hogan or Dawes,

I'd prefer Pederson to Hansen

This time ast year I thought something like Dunn or Bate for Hansen, as all were not quite 'doing it' for their clubs at the time.

Not sure how the trade balance would be now, or what sweeteners would be needed.

Assuming the prevailing story is true and Bate is likely headed to the dogs, maybe what we get from them plus our existing third rounder would do the job?

Like last year, I wouldn't mind Hansen as a role-player, and he'd come cheaper than Dawes in both picks and dollars.

Would prefer Hansen to Dawes.

As always, depends on the cost - pick 13 is too high for either.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
