Throw in a lazyboy, foxtel and a fridge full of beverages and I'm there.

But seriously, how bad has our recruiting been? It's beyond the pale no?

I think we should set up a 'truth commission' to allow all living former MFC recruiters the opportunity to explain their side of the story in a public forum...

You win a double pass to the 2012 draft to witness first hand us squander another three first round draft picks. BYO razor blades!

An interesting exercise of higher draft selections dating back the past ten years. Players in the 'who we missed' side generally fell in the picks immediately after the players we chose. There are a few anomalies but I think readers should be able to draw a conclusion or two from it.

...

WHO WE PICKED

B: Bartram Frawley Grimes

HB: Rivers Garland Strauss

C: Morton Sylvia Scully

HF: Bate Cook Trengove

F: Maric Watts Blease

Foll: Gawn McLean Jones

Int: Howe Gysberts Tapscott Petterd

One conclusion: take out those who are at other clubs and those who are injured and it's a pretty good catalogue of players whose performances have gone backwards at a rate of knots since Neeld became coach. Subtract Jones and maybe Howe, and add Green, Moloney, Davey, Martin, Bennell & McKenzie and it's just about complete.

What do I Get?

Probably a poll.

Oh come on Akum.

Davey , Green and Moloney are in the twilight of their careers, Bennell has always been ordinary and Mckenzie has always been a lousy kick,

From where I sit Neeld has nothing to do with any of that.

The list is just poor, JC would have trouble with this group.

I hereby declare Range Rover the most useless poster on this board.

I cannot think of a single other poster whose posts are consistently total wastes of space.

Harsh, I think overenthusiastic is a better description.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
