GAME DAY - Round 22

Featured Replies

I just cant work out what is wrong. Players sound like they arent applying themselves or fighting for their position. Can we really still be this bad after the whole season??

It's embarrasing. There's no one at the ground. Irrelevant is the word for what this team has become.

Insipid. Might just be me, but the little clips of Neeld coaching before the game left me cold.

Hope it's just me. But he didn't come across well at all.

what do you mean?

Don't you think some of our shitty players need to take some of the blame for that?

Absolutely. But in saying that, we had more spirit last year.

I know Neeld needs to rebuild us from scrap, but he's destroyed any confidence we may have had at the same time.

Who we beat by 100 points last year and then swapped coachs...

Bailey's portrait will be hanging on the wall of so many aspiring coaches - how NOT TO coach.

At least he gave us that.

You hope that there is some development.

Confirmation tonight that Green made the right call retiring. Nowhere near it against good defenders anymore. People calling for him to play on are delusional.

Honestly I think a total rebuild is on the cards. Even the decent players just arent jelling or working - might have better opportunities elsewhere.

Playing like a demoralised team.

Neeld apparently just got caught on camera saying 'F$%^ off'

McKenzie can never be accused of not trying but his skill set is really poor.

Agree. Yet he is central to our midfield rotation. Wouldn't get a game at a top 8 club. Not in a fit.

He might win the Sunday Footy Show handball competition.

We were better when we were <allegedly> tanking...

He might win the Sunday Footy Show handball competition.

Both he and Bail have poor disposal.

Jake Spencer, 6 tackles. 2 more than anybody else.

That says everything, both about his attitude and the rest of our team.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
