It should mandatory that you can demonstrate that you can understand and can teach how to use an apostrophe before you can become a teacher.

Good on you pickles'!

So are you saying that I should use a possessive apostrophe at the end of the word pickles when saying "good luck pickles!"

Great to see him back, I was really pleased when we got him and thought it was the end when he got the tag "indefinite". Good job to see him display the will to fight back when it would have been easier to just give up.

Hope he plays 150 plus games for the club, he's only just turned 20 and I reckon he will be an exciting talent.

Very few people know how and where to put an apos'trophe and I find it s'imply exas'perating. It would be far better were they not to us'e it at all.

S'ave the apos'trophe!!

it was such a tragedy when english dropped the diaerisis diacritic

Sorry Jose but you also forgot the word "be" as in "It should be mandatory" which then makes more sense. lol

No, I was taking the [censored] by putting the apostrophe in another spot.

Obviously none are needed.

That'll teach me to poke fun in haste.

Never again!

Desperately searching for my copy of Eats,Shoots and Leaves on all things pedantic.

Famous piece of graffiti in England stating "[censored]'S OUT!"

under which someone cleverly wrote

"But he will be back later".

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
